Nice if there was a proper club museum at the stadium to take them to though.

Sounds like a good chance to buy this seasons new away shirt?

A good thing it's on a Tuesday morning or they would get too many going to meet the players, see the ground, and buy the away shirt.

Do you think this is what most people would call an open day or not?

You think hosting a day like this when everyone is at work is a good idea?

Are you going to take time off work to go or will you just skip it like most other working people?

I agree with the timing comments but to be fair the team have been away for the previous two weekends and are probably travelling tomorrow.
Hosting a free event mid week gives the concessions, old and young, the only chance of seeing the players in the flesh.

    <laugh>

I thought at first and without reading the article that this was the kind of thing the club should have been doing for years and that if it wasn't for everything else going on, would have been a great idea.

But **** me, they always find a way to get something completely wrong don't they. 10 til 1 on a Tuesday <laugh> It's like they're deliberately trying to be useless sometimes.

Of course it'll have been impossible to do it on the weekend though. Maybe the pitch is dug up at weekends. There'll definitely be some reason it's totally impossible except for on a Tuesday morning. Doesn't matter that we always managed it fine in the Pearson/Duffen days.

Has it really come to this, that fans now slag off the club for doing a kit launch with the involvement of fans? And grumble that they didn't consult everyone's google calendars beforehand? All seems a bit harsh to me.

It's just the usual people using whatever they can to slag off the owners, whatever they did it would be wrong! It's on during the day in school holidays when parents are screaming out for things to do with their kids, it's a great idea and a step in the rite direction which kids will love

It doesn't require much consultation to know that hardly anyone can take their kids during the daytime on a weekday.

But as ever, you're not defending the owners.

More notice would have been nice and then those working could have arranged a day off or something.
I would imagine we'll see a lot of retired Grandparents with Grandkids.

I'll probably take a few hours away from work but I work for myself and I appreciate not so many others can do so.

So they're targetting kids and their grandparents?

    Bit ironic.

No so much 'targeting' but as an unintended consequence due to the day and time.

    Ironic, I know.

They can say it as many times as they like, I still won't be buying any until we get a proper badge on the shirt with our name on it.
