Thankfully it's based on a book so will have a conclusion but I've a feeling it will take a couple of seasons, maybe three to do so.

May need to check how many episodes the original series 40 years ago took.

Edit: Original series 12 hours. So given each episode in the new one is 45 mins and it will be more detailed I'd say 3 seasons.

can't quite remember exactly when it was but it was well before the end and one , admittedly big . "thing" will probablty take at least 1 ep on its own .
