Same ref from the Forest match where their tactics did much to erode any sympathy for their points deduction

Go as close as possible to the starting XI of the converse fixture.

Machine gunning Son, followed by Yates somehow avoiding any sort of card at all.
We got 4 yellows and a red for 11 fouls, they got 2 yellows for 16.
Shocking performance and he gets the reverse fixture. <doh>

Davies started alongside Romero and Richarlison was up front. Maddison was injured.

So we have an improvement on the starting XI of then
(although VDV got the winner and Bissouma got a red) .

Nope, I ****ed up and conflated it with the other game Bissouma got sent off in! <laugh>
    Oops!

Richarlison did start at Luton and he missed some early sitters, thinking back.
Van der Ven also started. Johnson was absent entirely.
Only two changes to the XI from Fulham. Wildly different performance.

    Indeed.

That game has to be a case of "just one of things" if
Spurs are going to finish 4th (cannot rely on the
UEFA land fixture pile-up finally doing for Villa) .

Apparently VdV has trained but might not be risked with the West Ham game just after. So maybe

    Vic
    Porro Romero Dragusin Udogie
    Sarr Bissouma Maddison
    Kulu Son Werner

I missed the last game so not sure whether midfield changes are merited especially with Bentancur playing through injury still. Johnson was apparently really good for Wales in the Poland game but Werner will be more rested.

Johnson was brilliant for 45 minutes playing on the left. Then their manager put him on the right for the 2nd half, he was totally anonymous and was pulled after 70....<doh>

I think he was subbed in the first game, so shouldn't be too tired, but I think probably best to bring him on from the bench.

    Bissouma needs to be dropped.

He is currently a poorer option than Hojbjerg.

And despite clearly being out of any form for months, he has been whingeing about being left out of the latest Mali squad.
Methinks he has an attitude problem...

For Spurs to finish PL 4th now is all about the points taken,
and not the entertainment. Those players whose baseline
performance cannot be relied on to do that job should
not be in the starting XIs.

Bissouma is far from the form of the first 10 games (for whatever reasons) .
Therefore he is on the list.

This has all the feels of a big home win, 3pm kick off, spring time and home game

Most confident I’ve felt for a while.

    1. So you're saying (TM) you are a "fair weather" Spurs supporter ... ??

    2. IMHO this has the feeling of an opponent in the relegation mire,
where pts matter more than performance, and who have intently
studied the past 5+ Spurs games ...

    ( hope I have rcl'ed #2 )

How does being confident of a win make me fair weather?
