Only 21 and has done well at Blackpool this season. Wouldn’t come as a surprise if we were interested…
Could see us going for him, we also seem to always get linked with rak saki at palace who places the same position, would take either of them here
I heard the lad was being paid really well like. Can't even remember how much it was that long ago, but money you wouldn't expect from us.
What’s people think of Mundle? Contributed very little so far and definitely not what we needed in January. Just feels like another typical Speakman signing. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him loaned out this summer.
Genuinely zero feeling towards him, not seen enough of him to feel one way or the other so far, strange signing felt like he popped up and may be good so we took a punt
There's a lot of question marks for me, in terms of players and their short term futures. Triantis, Mayenda, Hemir, Ba, Mundle, Hjelde... If by the summer we have a fully fit squad, we are definitely overwhelmed with numbers, even with no Huggins or Seelt. We'd have at least two for every position, plus a few others, then the younger lads pushing through. I'm of the opinion unless Ba graps his opportunity this summer, he might be one we look to loan. Certainly I'd look for it, he could do with a lot more game time. Mayenda I'd like to see stay in England if he leaves on loan. Hemir, I'm really unsure of. Triantis could find himself involved next season if his new position is deemed suitable by our new gaffer. I think he's a couple years off being a good centre half still. A league one loan would benefit him. Hjelde and Mundle will both hang around for me.
IMO he was signed as an investment rather than a need. He is still finding his way at a new club with new team mates. I'm guessing we'll see more of him next season, when the coaches have had plenty of time during preseason to work on him.
He's fine, very raw but kind of what I expected really. I understand the logic of signing him, in terms of him being a player who you didn't think would be available before Liege had financial trouble and him being a player Spurs offered a 5 year deal to just last summer so he's clearly talented. However, it's another case of just weird squad building. He's a player you sign as an addition to a complete squad, not as one of your more expensive signings in a mid table side. He, like many other of our recent signings, need to be given time and a real chance at succeeding. I mentioned Simms and Latte Lath yesterday and will stand by it, their recent form suggests you don't just drop and write off a player just because they don't hit the ground running. Give them a chance. A lot of question marks around a lot of our players and that's a black mark against both the recruitment and coaching teams at the club.
The exact sort of signing I’d like to see us target. Plenty of experience at this level and a good age.
Whether you rate him or not, Styles was a good indicator that the club know the type of players they need. 145 championship appearances for O'Brien, Styles has 134.
Criminal not playing him centrally when we’re crying out for a 6 with nout left to play for and numerous left backs in the squad. Doddsy nee bollocks.
