Three to one is not really 3 quarters in football.

More like two thirds, but we're splitting hairs here.

It's still a significant gap in performance.

Deserved win, no matter how much those with their personal agendas try to spin it otherwise.

Show me the decision that evened that one out please. I said it at the time, it was amongst the worst example of a ref bottling it I have seen. We counted 4/5 very valid reasons why that goal shouldn’t have stood on here. The ref actually took his time and had a chat with his lino. Normally there could be only one possible outcome, apart from 35,000 Canaries celebrating. He absolutely bottled it. The irony is that stands in the way of us having equal points with two to go (of course, things may have panned out differently, which is why I use the term irony)

Don’t understand. Of the four quarters, we were the best team for three and Coventry were best for one. You are splitting hairs!

Never going to be much use arguing it on here but I'll say it anyway. The Allsop obsession is just completely out of hand. Basically every goal we concede you know people are going to blame on him. I only followed the game via twitter tonight and both times when I saw we'd conceded I thought "bet that'll be Allsop's fault in some way", and sure enough that's the verdict. When I later saw the goals, the second one in particular that he's being blamed for, it's laughable that we're even talking about the keeper there. It's a header low into the bottom corner from 7 yards out, they're almost never saved. No, he's not a Johansson level shot stopper, but he's not the complete joke people want him to be, and he was almost irrelevant for that goal. It's really becoming a theme to exaggerate his level of culpability for a goal.

There's a constant over-simplification in the reaction to our team selections. This idea that "Ingram was dropped for less" for example. Well Ingram wasn't dropped for anything in particular, we just signed another keeper who could improve us on the whole, when you factor in his contribution to our buildup play, and so he was replaced. Pandur has been brought in and not immediately taken over. We have no idea how good he is. It isn't automatically the case that a new player is better. It's definitely strange that we spent such a fee on a keeper who seemingly isn't considered ready to be our number one, and even stranger that he's seemingly gone from number 2 to number 3 in the last week, but we don't know any more than that. Constantly demanding that he starts based on absolutely no insight to his game or the performance levels he's shown in training just seems childish to me.

Another one is the Ohio situation. You can get a lot of insight by listening to the manager and taking in what he's saying rather than just looking for opportunities to have a dig at him as some do. Tonight he explained in very clear terms that he hasn't felt that Noah has been engaged in playing in the way we want to play, and therefore he hasn't been selected, but in the last few days after having a talk about it, he's shown a lot more engagement, done everything LR asked for and trained really well, and forced his way into the squad. So it isn't always as simple as "he's scored so therefore it was a mistake to not play him more previously". We are a good team and players have to do what's asked of them if they want to be get into this team. Yes, it's a message board and the whole point is to have opinions and discuss things, but at times there is too little willingness to understand that many factors that go into selection decisions, and that the surface-level stuff we focus on isn't the be all and end all. Some people are way too strong with the things they say and aren't prepared to acknowledge that it's based on very limited insight.

Really enjoyed tonight. Great battling performance, especially from Greaves at the end when he won some key headers repeatedly. It’s all still to play for, at least until 5pm on Saturday. If by then either Norwich or WBA haven’t won, we can take it to the last game by beating Ipswich. A Leeds win at QPR on Friday night would help, forcing Ipswich to go for the win, making Saturday night’s game like a cup tie.

Only saw the first half but thought that for the 45 City were imperious. Best display since the Southampton game. Some of the passing moves were Man City Esque. When played like that who can complain about Rosenoir ball.

That's a long winded way of saying what we already knew and what's been the case for decades.

City fans need a scapegoat. Always have, always will.

Obviously we’ve had a lot of poor results this season against teams we really should’ve beaten but these are the standout moments for me

Leeds - Traore missing the open goal

Watford - Not scoring the penalty

Southampton - Conceding in the 95th minute

    Norwich - Conceding 96th minute

Hypothetically we would’ve been 8 points better off if these moments went our way

First and foremost, a really good game to watch, and one on the balance of play over the 98 minutes we deserved IMO.

The refereeing performance was abysmal for both sides, and he seemed to be trying his best to spoil a good game of football.

Only Ohio's goal and Jaden's had nothing to do with the referee getting decisions wrong. Our penalty was debatable whether inside or outside the box, but will take it, For their first, De Lap was fouled first which wasn't given, then Seri penalised for what looked a good tackle. Finally, their 2nd goal the ball was clearly out before it was crossed. Some of the yellow cards he brandished were laughable.

On the Alsop debate, I did feel he should have done better with their 2nd goal, the header didn't have much power on it, and he just looked to react too late. On the whole, IMO, he is the best option at present, Pandur we don't know yet whether he is ready, and Ingram just isn't good enough with his feet, which does affect our play, playing out from the back.

Greaves had another great game, as did Seri, I thought both were excellent throughout the game. Omur rarely gives the ball away, such a tidy, clever player who will only get better.

Ohio looked very good when he came on, I've a feeling the strategy was more to see how he goes, which the view of making it permanent next season, I would be highly in favour of that.

Well, we are still in the game for the top 6, and great credit to Liam for getting the team working well during the run in, 3 wins and 2 draws in the last 5 games. It looks as if it might be just too late, and if Norwich do pip us to the spot on goal difference, then going back to the first game of the season and them winning with the last kick of the game, could end up being the difference.

Nevertheless, great to be involved right down to the last couple of games.

A good keeper keeps the second goal out. He’s has a brilliant ability of getting there and completely letting through his hands. I’ve never seen a keeper like it. But granted the abuse is a little over the top. Wasn’t a huge gaff, but he should be saving it.

Also, I think we deserved the win more than Coventry. But didn’t deserve to win the game in my opinion. You can have both. We were also lucky with our goals (gifted). I think you have misunderstood my post and my general opinion of the game.

No point in going into the personal agenda comment.

Both of Coventrys goals were lucky, only two of ours were.

Can only repeat a poor decision at Norwich for sure. Officials like them and the idiot at Hillsborough when he red carded Morton boil your pizz at the time but over the course of the season City have had amble opportunities to claw back those poor decisions especially at home. The Fact is City have been brilliant on the road but ridiculously inconsistent at home and that’s almost certainly cost us a crack at the play offs.

Time to move on…it’s a Cup final Saturday apparently.

    Watford penalty x2

    Conceding late to Brum

Not beating Plymouth after a good performance

Ok. But I’m not comparing who was more lucky. I was just saying we were lucky to win the game, considering we were gifted two goals and didn’t create too many clear cut chances. I thought we were better than Coventry overall, but didn’t do enough in the whole game to deserve the 3 points.

Highlight for me was my fave Omur weaving his way past about 4 players on the left side some of whom tried to take him out - and he still played the pass - what a player to watch !!!

Agreed... but if he had buried the Watford chance and perhaps the one last night maybe we'd be talking £30 million... maybe we still are because Acun won't let him go for £20 million I'm sure off that... or at least without a 50% add on and extras...
