    Just seen this mate :emoticon-0106-cryin a true king of the game and will probably only end up a a few minute on the sky ticker tape. That will piss me off but true fans will show their respect.

    My Dad's favourite player too. Never seen him so excited as he was when Charlie was at the Hull game a few years back. My Dad is in his 70s and still goes misty eyed when you mention him. Sad day

    RIP Charlie, met him at the Biddick Club a few years back at a sportsmans dinner, he was an absolute gentleman and took time to speak to everyone.
    A man mountain in every sense of the words. God Bless you Charlie

    Aw am gutted. Not even 50 yet (that’s next year!) so obviously never saw him play, but went to a talk in with him and he was an absolute gem of a bloke. Had time for every single fan. Rest in peace Charlie. Proper legend
