Surely it's more dangerous to appoint a ref where there is any possibility of bias. Any ref who supports a team which can't catch us is fine for Sunday.
I don't think they are corrupt but if I were an Arsenal fan I wouldn't want Michael Oliver either just in case he demonstrated his lack of bias by giving decisions in our favour.
But then you couldn’t have refs who support Man City or Liverpool too. We just have to trust they’re professional and objective. Oliver isn’t a great ref and may make mistakes but I don’t think any will be made deliberately in the hope that his team catch Spurs
My worry about Oliver is that he likes to let the game flow and this opens us up to heavy tackling. We have been on the wrong end with Oliver in Chelsea games and Arsenal games. Arsenal right now are I would say more robust than us, they are a big physical team and if Oliver lets it flow we are likely to come off worse.
like the result in this game makes much difference to us oh and the balance for us would tip towards an Arsenal win as our form is so bad we just need to keep our top 4 position .
When they were to all intents already thru .We were OK against Fulham but apart from that we have been ****e recently
You will get something from West Ham and probably beat us. Villa at home have been in and out. Doddle
My pal, a Pool fan, says that things started going wrong when all the injured returned. The youngsters were doing a better job!
PMGOL are convinced that all refs are above reproach whereas.most of us are certain they are not. The two recently examples of refs allegliances being disregarded have only highlighted the organisation failings
