Interesting. In that case, sell Diaz to Barca, put Darwin on the left, Isak through the middle and a new right wing after selling Salah. (Get Sako from Arsenal)
I like Nunez and think he's much better playing from the left but I've a feeling he'll be shown the door by the incoming manager. He's great but he's got to do better with the chances he's served up, you can't miss the big chances he's been missing in big games and get away with it. If we could teach Diaz to be better with his end product he'd become a world beater
Ryan Babel speaking out in warning to whoever takes over from Klopp that 40 people will be leaving with him - coaches, backroom staff etc. What? Where do they come up with these things?
When did Edwards arrive back? I have a horrible feeling that his activity has unsettled the team, who were doing fine…..maybe I just need someone to blame
Klopp had already told the owners that he wanted to leave in October and Edwards only came back a few months ago, so no connection really.
Lots of speculation on who will be leaving the club this summer. Definites in my book are Matip, Thiago, Salah. The list of possibles is long. It depends on the new manager but our defence is not good enough and I expect some departures. If Slot is the new manager, then VVD, Gravenberch and Gakpo more likely to stay. Much as I like Nunez, it will be a big call for the new manager, I would love to keep him but not as a central striker. Endo is a squad player, too slow but can come in and do a job to rest first teamers. it is going to be a very interesting Summer
I like Nunez, I think he does bring value to the team. I think he is replaceable though. I wouldn't be horrified.if he was sold by Slot, but would be perfectly happy if he stayed. For me it would depend on who replaced him.
I don’t think fsg/edwards are going to allow a valuable asset like Nunez to just be passed up on and moved on. Don’t forget the guy is 2nd top scorer in the team and has 19 goal involvements in 32 games. For comparison Saka/foden have 23, Son has 24, Fernandes has 17 so not like been a complete flop. Just the number of chances missed but if he can up that conversation rate from say 10% to 15% that’s another 3/4 goals right there and a new manager with new methods could easily see him do that.
I think he’s less replaceable than the others tbh. he’s the only one with pure and physicality and he creates chances with his movement and presence that the others don’t.
