We are back at Adams Park for the last game of the season and set your alarms as we have an early start for what is effectively JJ's testimonial and we are up against the Addicks who are the draw specialists of league one have drawn 20 games this season. Matty will start the game with JJ but I would be surprised if he plays more than 55 minutes having only played less than 500 minutes all season. I will be out of the blocks early for the 12.30 start at AP looking forward to a good game and finishing the season off in style
No idea it was an early kick off. Just sat down after entertaining the kids all day and the game is over. But we won and finished 10th.
A great game of football for two teams with not much to play for at the last game of the season. What was strange Blooms bringing on 3 subs all early for him in the 56mins, it was good to see JJ get 35mins of action. Charlton are a very quick & strong side but didn't have much when they got to the box, I was glad Alfie May didn't come back on after half time last time I watched he scored 4 against us. With Forino & Lonwijk they must have been one of the best defensive pairings in League 1, wouldn't be surprised to see Forino go in the Summer, with the win it helped turn it into a bit of a party atmosphere. With the loan players now gone back, it will also be for some out of contract the last game for us, I think Sam Vokes could be one of those, I have watched three games in April & it looks like his days are numbered he looks a bit lost coming as a sub, doesn't give him a chance to get into the game. It looks like Blooms wants to go with 3 youger & quicker forwards once Hanlan is back..Looking at Charlton today they will be there or thereabouts in 2025 they are certainly a better team than there position in the league.
Tight situation in the Championship relegation. If Plymouth beat Hull next Saturday, they will be in the Championshjp next season. If they don't and Birmingham beat Norwich, they will be in League 1. What makes these 2 fixtures so interesting is both their oponents are in crtical games
I reckon greeny will be hoping Ipswich win tonight because that will leave Hull with no chance of the play offs
That's a shame. It means Hull can still reach the play-offs if they beat Plymouth and WBA lose. But WBA are at home against PNE who have nothing to play for. So maybe, if WBA are 2-0 up at half time Hull will have no incentive to win. On the other hand Birmingham coud very easily lose against Norwich which would keep Plymouth up. Even a draw at Birmingham would probably keep Plymouth up, unless they lost by 5 goals
Jordan Ibe played one game when he came on as a sub for Ebbsfleet since January & has now been released
