Haaland has missed more big chances than Nunez, according to some stat flashed on the screen the other night.
He's scored more goals obviously, but his team are creating more chances for him.

 

Can we bring that back, starting tomorrow?

 

I'm sure he's notninterested in playing 6 either.

 

Jordan Ibe's just been released by Ebbsfleet United.

Really sad how his career's gone.

Always thought that early.on he looked like he had more promise than Sterling... He had the pace, he had the dribbling technique... He just didn't know when to release.the ball and would get stuck dribbling it into a dead end alley. He needed to look up more.

He could have been a better player with better direction and training early on.

 

Florent Sinema Pongolle is another one whose career and potential feels wasted to me. He showed more early promise than he ever delivered, never really found goal scoring form which is kinda important for a forward. Ended up continuously moving backwards after leaving us.

 

Look there's a human element here that we struggle to see at times.

Mentally ibe has suffered constantly. All the rewards of his move to Bournemouth and career don't really mean much for him as a result.

Yes he has skills but in the end many have skills and few make the level and take the pressure.

 

I feel sorry for Ibe, and others like him.
I've said before it's easy to forget just how young these kids are when they become "stars". Teenage years are a minefield for most of us, and coming out of childhood into the adult world can be bewildering and disconcerting experience. So many in high-profile fields can lose their way completely - disastrously in some cases.
Money and fame can seem like a great thing, and I'm sure it is if you can handle it, but not everyone can. It solves a lot of life's problems no doubt, but brings a set of its own.
I've no idea how Ibe is getting on in his private life, but I know he has suffered from depression. All like him need support of friends and family to realise that they're still young and have a lot in front of them - to not let seeming failure in a difficult field sour the rest of their lives.

Ignoring the antics, I think it's time to cash in on him (if we can) anyway. Although, I'd have sold him last summer too.

 

Would hope to use him differently if he is staying beyond this season. He hasn't dribbled past anyone for 2 years but does have a good eye for a pass with perfect weight most of the time.

I can only assume that was either a sneeze or a some other form of non mitoese level key mashing as I can't believe thr club would be stupid enough to buy a bang average right full from the new coaches former club.

Especially not having seen how doing stupid things like thst worked out for ten haag.

 

I am with you need to get some money back on him. He will always be a legend but feel another year could tarnish that, especially if his form is the same as the last 4 months or so.

 

A week ago that would have looked like total gibberish to me.
