Do we have to pay this game? Can't we call the season early?

 

At least we are back at Anfield....

 

I think we will still get top 4, but it's gonna be very close by the end of the season

 

What I would do is pick a full on 11v11 selection for trianing Tuesday amd the sole criteria for selection v spurs would be who runs and gets the ball first.

I wouldn't care who kicks who or who misses who off. No friends, no team mates. Go win a place or don't.

Tell them the training game is being recorded and sent to slot as well.

 

Our one bright spot is spurs play arsenal next and also city and must win both.

We will most likely slump to 4th place bit you k ow don't be the one who can see it coming cos you get attacked for seeing the signs and daring to say it.

 

The most Villa and Spurs can get is 78, we're on 75. For them to both overtake us is probably about as likely as us winning the title.

 

But we still play both. Could quite easily lose them both currently

 

Yeah, but Spurs have to play Arsenal, Chelsea, us and City.

 

You'd be saying we'll be relegated if it wasn't mathematically impossible though

Some people on here have got quite personal about it, that's what I'm saying.

You can tell a mile off when a klopp side is gone off the boil. I said they were tired and give their all but that wasn't good enough apparently so when I dared suggest we needed to focus on getting the points for 4th as fast as possible that was taken by some as a personal insult.

then we lost 2 of the 3 games we had to play and now drew the 4th. We beat Fulham which is the saving grace now.

Spurs don't have the games left to catch us. They have 2 in hand and one against us but that would only get them close.

We play them, villa and wolves. It's still possible villa catch us but not spurs so we can just see this out now.

Had we not beaten Fulham this could be dodgy.

 

Look, I don't want to get into a big argument with you over this, but there's a couple of things here.
I don't see how you can claim anyone takes your comments as a personal insult, some of us just don't agree.
At the time, you said that 4th place was at risk. I can't speak for anyone else, but my opinion was that that was a massively over-exaggerated risk - that the chance of both Villa and Spurs overtaking us wasn't worth fretting about, and I said so.
Was it possible? Yes, and it still is mathematically but I won't be losing any sleep over it.
People disagree on things on here, it's the nature of a discussion forum - there's no need for any of us to take things personally.

 

Looking at that point, I'd agree that sometimes things are said that are a bit erm, uninhibited - but we have to have thick skins on the internet don't we?
Almost all of us have been on this board for many years, and we have a fairly good idea of each other's (online) persona.
I don't think there's much genuine malice shown.

 

Well all I'm saying is the nature off the comments made and the continuing on of bringing it up on other threads is pretty conclusive.

 

I wouldn't worry about it. I think most people appreciate your input - it gives us something to argue about if nothing else.
There were plenty bemoaned your absence when you disappeared for a while.
