Alien 7.9/10 I remember watching this as a kid and it was simply brilliant and although there are some good performances and it's still a very good film it's now quite dated and the alien is not great at times (bloke in a suit vibes).
It bursts out of his stomach and escapes onto the ship, there's food stored down there, as they go to get it to put in the shuttle and get killed, there's also probably rats. That means it has stuff to consume to gain mass and convert to energy, as per the first rule of thermodynamics. In Prometheus the alien is the size of a maggot, gets locked in the medical bay (shame they didn't have that when the guy was sick, but it wasn't needed for that part of the 'plot') where there is nothing and grows to the size of a small whale, WITH NOTHING TO CONSUME. of course it must do that because it's needed to kill the engineer a few minutes late for the 'plot'.
It's a fictional alien with acid for blood I don't think you're qualified to speculate on how it gains mass.
As beautiful as South Wales is, I'm so glad my family moved to London, as bad as the education system was here, at least they taught you the basics.
I don't think your liking of Prometheus and subsequent defending of your position of it being 'a good film' was sarcasm. I'm not judgemental when it comes to race or religion, people's opinions on Prometheus on the other hand...
Prometheus is dogshit. The rule with The Alien, Terminator and Predator franchises, as I've said many times, is thus: Watch the first two, and then the rest dont exist. Alien3 or alien cubed as I like to call it, is ****e also. Its only watchable because it has some great classic old timey british actors in it, like Charles Dance, Paul McGann, Ralp Brown,Pete Poselthwaite and Brian Glover. Were it not for that, it would be completely unwatchable.
I'm not saying it's a master piece mate just that it's an enjoyable sci fi film you can switch off to.
yeah, but it's a fluff movie that doesn't try to take itself seriously or pretend it's anything else.
It's got nothing to do with it being an alien film, it's all about it being retards in space where the only discernible motive for any of their actions is to get to the next scene Ridley Scott thought would look cool, regardless of whether those actions made any sense at all, which they don't at any point in the movie.
