ffs man i'm sure some people have absolute blinkers on we are run like accrington stanly ? heard it all now
The group, that was supposed to be buying them, seem to be delaying until their fate is known. As we know there's a massive difference in the value of a PL and a Championship club. If the deduction stands, they drop and this group pulls out they could be the biggest crash so far. I wouldn't shed a single tear, their fans were loving all the spending so can't bleat about it now ... ... but, of course, they will.
Just seen this and that it was posted before the weekends games. To me they smack of desperation in their spending and I think we all know how this is going to end
3 goals from strikers since MB came in, it’s not pretty but results come first then the performance. He’s not perfect but given time I think he’ll improve us Wrong thread. .
I never thought they’d go up to be honest, I really like Russell Martin and fancied them to turn it around and that’s before even thinking about Leeds! But to be fair to them at least they’re giving it a go with players that were mostly signed for pennies. Biggest challenge for them will be keeping McKenna. No idea what’ll happen in terms of spending on wages, obviously spending more than us but nowhere near some non-parachute clubs.
They have and a great start. Think Southampton seem to be building a promotion level consistency though.
This aged well I reckon the likes of West Ham and Brighton will be circling around McKenna, now. He looks the real deal. Great job he’s done there.
Man Utd could do a lot worse than bringing him back. Doubt the fans would approve mind and he certainly wouldn't get the necessary time needed.
Haha, I’ve just said the same on the premier league board. What they’ve tried has failed. It seems a sort of Man Utd appointment that would go well. What goes against him now is I expect Man Utd to splash out big in the summer. He’ll not be trusted putting a squad like that together just yet.
I've not been on this board long, but my opinions can be seen OTR. I felt for the longest time Ipswich would keep on going. Many expected them to drop off. They had a bad stretch of results just as every team usually does, including Leicester. Their man Moore has gotten them over the line. Their spend was well calculated as Mckenna and his team must've really fancied their chances making this squad max out their performance. I thought Ipswich ****ed it a few weeks back, I'd personally not see them holding on through the plays off if they did duff it. Just a point away from the big time. They've played some of the best football in the league this season, their gaffer deserves heaps of praise.
Remind me again how we did when we played Huddersfield Nothing is certain in football That's why we love it
Absolutely, I'm pleased for the fans if not the club. There's something not right with their ownership and the new 'investment' ... ... of course the fans couldn't care less until it becomes another Everton and we're expected to feel sorry for them.
They have done amazing. Great football and havnt really broke the bank to get up. Made sensible signings and invested, backing their judgement. For all the talk about Moore and his wages, what a signing.
