Just noticed this in the myStable app… “I have been really happy with PUROSANGUE since we started faster work about five weeks ago. He has really improved with each piece and I think his fitness levels are where I would want them for a first start. He certainly seems to have trained on from what he is showing at home. It is of course a difficult race and we have a tricky draw in Stall 1, so I’m not sure how that will play out but Oisin will try to get the best toe into it that he can without having him over-race. I want him to start off the year well and get him doing it the right way around, relaxing in the early stages of the race and then hopefully finishing strongly. But I think he is in great form and I like to think that if the race works out for him he will be very competitive.”
Afternoon gents. Nice to see Lucinda giving Corach Rambler another go over at Punchy following his GN first fence blunder (didn't fall as there were no fallers, though he definitely fell at the second as there was no rider to unseat!). I sincerely hope connections are rewarded with a good run.
Good run to finish a head 2nd, just getting reeled in close home looking like she needs further Tracker
Horses for courses - Fastorslow just seems to have the beating of GDC at Punchestown - that's 3 in a row now. The track seems to place much more emphasis on speed than Cheltenham. Maybe plan a different programme for GDC next season Willie?
