Got to give credit to the fans as well. Chatted to some Coventry fans after the game and it seems like everyone is behind us and hoping we get over the line.
They have nothing to play for, they can play with zero pressure, it's not if they turn up, it's more if Ipswich choke at the very last hurdle. I would be amazed, speechless if it happened but you still need to register that last point. A poor referee decision and a red card, a keeper who puts in a mom performance, it can go pear shaped, I honestly don't think it will but unless you go two goals up you're going to all be nervous, unless we are 2 down.
Totally agree, usually it would be a bias opinion but it really is a freak of a season where if we win 93 points isn't enough to go up where 73 points is (if you lose and we win it's still 93 points), we're talking about 7 extra wins. Crazy but that's what makes the playoffs special and keeps the fight going until the final day. I could argue we have beaten Ipswich twice (and Leicester) so we deserve to go up, the season isn't about two games though, Ipswich have only lost 6 this season, you probably deserve to edge it. We can't blame anyone other than our own team and coach, when it matters at the end we haven't performed to the true potential. Final point, I really don't fancy our chances in the playoffs, we have really hit a bad patch. If you guys have to suffer them, I think you'd walk it, either way I am sure the Leeds support will be behind you for them (we would need another 6 points next season in the PL)
Seemingly your owners are worth quite a bit, so I think they'll realise that the chickens will need a bit of better grub than seed in the prem .... could be Mrs Chucky is in for a feast
Our owners have cash, we're only restricted on how much we can spend by the league regulations. We'll be able to invest again should we get promoted.
It’s not all about throwing money around. Last time we went out and signed Sereni and finidi George and look how that worked out for us.
Most of us have every confidence in the strengths of tbe Club, its ownership, its management, its ethos and many of the current squad who will deserve a crack at the Prem. We also recognise we will need to strengthen several areas but not wholesale changes. If we do go up...
It will be about improving on what we've got without damaging the spirit of our great set of lads.Serini and Finidi weren't even an improvement on Wright and Scowie, both local lads who bled blue.
4-1 Ipswich win. I think Huddersfield are resigned to relegation, particularly given the goals haul needed to claw out out the bottom three (and rely on results elsewhere). They don’t have any love for Leeds, so fully back McKenna and the lads to get this over the line in style.
Not saying we should throw cash about, just that we've got it available. Up to this point we've pretty much spent right to the cap allowed to get us where we are. We'll invest again to remain competitive, whichever league we're in.
IF we go up the owners will be following the Brighton and Brentford model and not the Nottingham Forest Model of running a football club!
Just like to say.... love you guys, each and every one of you, you have made me feel like I'm still part of it, even tho I'm a long way from it all. It's a pleasure to share this experience with you all, we may not be many these days but that makes it more intimate, for nuggets and Redruth a bit too intimate!!! Fingers crossed we get over the line and then onto a really interesting and exciting summer!! Thought I would say it early, so I dont get accused of being pist!!
Oh and Westlake.....if you're reading this, come back and join us my friend, it's much friendlier these days!!
Oh and I've decided I don't wanna go up in second place I want playoffs.... I know we would win them and i wanna shut them fecking sister botherers up, we would deffo beat them next time and convincingly!!
