I know it's rife in football at all different levels and in so many different ways but Klippetty has, IMO, managed to open his big mouth again.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cpeg2j2wx8jo

I wonder if Klopp actually sits down and thinks through what he is saying and the reasons why certain things happen.

    1. TNT pay a lot of money to the Premier League for the right to show live football.
    2. TNT and the Premier League agree how many games TNT can show and when.
    3. The Premier League pay PL Clubs a lot of money from the money that the Premier League has received.
    4. Money from 3 has come, in part, from money in 1.
    5. Football Clubs pay their Staff, including Manager, a lot more money than they were ever able to do before due, in part, to money received by the Club from 3.
    6. As soon as Clubs, Footballers and Managers refuse to accept money from 3 then they may be able to have a say about kick off times.
    7. Once you have sold your soul to the Devil it's hard to buy it back.

Klopp's comments make me think of the comments Ricky Gervais made at a Golden Globes event.

    lol. Love that video.

But on topic. They complain about things like the time of the kick off. Too many games. Can’t use enough subs.

Then when it’s pre season when the players need a break. They travel all the way around the world to play friendlies in America.

    Why????? I wonder.

And look where they are going this season……https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/ge...erpools-usa-games-v-arsenal-and-man-utd?amp=1

I dont think managers are involved in the negotiations between clubs and the tv companies, if they were then you might have a point.

But their employers are. So the very people they should be complaining to isn’t the PL or the press. It should be their bosses.

    Maybe they do.

Although walking into your new or even current employer and telling them to cut back on games therefore revenue would mean you wouldn't have many jobs for long id guess.

Kloop was asked a question and he answered honestly, hes not the only one to moan about fixtures ffs your own manager has too this season when asked about it.

So i dont really understand this thread what's the beef here?

Managers accept the inflated salaries that football clubs can now pay because of the money TV companies pay. Haven’t seen any manager refuse to be paid so much or to offer to accept less provided the Club/PL don’t sell games to TNT. Where does he think the money from his salary comes from?

People are sick of the big clubs whining about fixtures and times etc.

But he’s happy to take the money and spend on players.

Klopp is using every excuse under the sun this season.

Success causes fixture congestion and player burnout. Moving fixtures for TV really doesn't cause that much of a problem. Feel sorrier for the fans, rather than the players, who are having to travel long distances on a Monday night or risk transport issues to make a late Saturday game. Spreading games out is good for overseas fans who are contributing to TV revenue, and presumably raises domestic income, as TV companies don't want to compete with each other to show games.

Its not going to change so don't see the point complaining about it.

I think there is always a point to complain if something is wrong but you can't, IMO, complain if you're happy to benefit from the thing you're complaining about.

Thank you for your call, your views are very important to us.

We are sorry to hear that you have reason to complain. To help us resolve this complaint could you please confirm whether the following summary of your complaint is correct:

"You wish to complain about people who complain, who (in your view) have no valid reason to complain, because they are complaining about benefits associated with the contract they signed up to, despite there being areas of that contract for which (they feel) give them cause to complain."

Please confirm this complaint summary, so we can officially log your complaint and then you will be called back by Jurgen, one of specialist complaint handlers, to discuss your complaint. Thank you.
