Thoughts on selling/keeping Salah

Having Trent infield doesn't help with this either. We have very little width on the right.

 

The funny thing was we did OK (but had similar issues) with gomez at lb stood in the middle and Bradley wide right.

We have diaz thinking he is mane (what bright spark told him this as a coach) and so there's.zero width either side.

The one thing that will change under slot is width. It's his core philosophy

 

City are in the enviable position of not having to sell players to buy their replacements. When KDB is too old to play, they can just give themselves more money to buy the next world-class talent. They can just buy the new KDB.


For us, to get the funds to buy the next Mo Salah, we have to sell the current Mo Salah. We can't just magic up a few hundred million pounds.


I would have sold him last summer... But I probably wouldn't now, because I don't think we could make enough from his sale to replace him anymore. We might as continue to use our aging star. We missed that opportunity to sell. Now if the right offer came in... Sure. But Im not holding my breath.. we have to do what we've always done now. Make a star instead of buying one.
