Oh well. Here we go London - get ready for Pay-Per-Mile driving under Sadiq Khan. He won't say anything about it until after the General Election. But once he has a Labour Government backing him up, we will see Khan unleashed. Probably 20mph everywhere rather than just 80% of our roads, and more closed roads with tree planters across junctions than you can wave a stick at. Never mind. People who have to earn a living in London are used to getting no help whatsoever from the Mayor.
Personally I’m quite happy to pay per mile driving in London and I’m sure Elfs and Reams would agree. Erm, is that a first ?
I'll send you my bill then Not surprised the Tory candidate lost though. She got scant support from a party that "hates London" (in the words of one commentator on TV).
Sorry to hear about the bad flooding in Southern Brazil Elfs. Presumably it's a long way from where you are, but it looks awful on the news reports here. 70,000 made homeless so far.
Oh, it's shocking, over here it can happen too regularly. It's particularly dangerous for people living in the favelas. We're on the North East coast around 3000 miles away. Rain here is not a concern, I quite like it.
Bushmills has always been my favourite whisky…. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-68961875
