    This 100%
I'm not remotely advocating that we ditch Ange. But equally, the questions are really mounting.
He has the summer and the start of next season to start answering those questions.
But I think we know the answers to a lot of the questions about some players already - and if that situation doesn't change dramatically in the next few months there's no way our Aussie will turn things around.

I really am just sort of clinging onto the hope of us signing some really good players in the summer to give Ange better chances of doing well.

But overall I have to say I think he’s been quite disappointing as manager so far. Which is a shame because I find him very likeable as a person.

Oofff, that’s (hopefully) probably been taken out of context but that is a rotter of a quote. Why would the club even post that? It’s gonna be ridiculed by everyone, Spurs and non-Spurs.

It’s like we want to be mugged off in the footballing world at times, lol.

That's how you see it but I am happy with it.

Depends on your point of view and on here you can see quite clearly that there are more than one way to skin a cat

Yeah I can’t believe it’s true and that they think it’s the right thing to put on social media.

I know they can’t be all doom and gloom but that is ridiculous

Getting battered again and losing for the fourth time in a row to then say “today was more like ourselves” is a really bad look.

Out of interest, what viewpoint do you have on that to say you’re happy with it?

I see it as a journey and I can see what Ange is saying. If you are building something you have to accept that until you consider it finished. It will not work properly all the time if at all. I am prepared to go with that if I can see what the end game is and Ange has explained that.

I’m not sure what all this handwringing is about.
Ange has improved Spurs in terms of both results and performances.
It’s clear that the squad lacks some depth, which is now more of issue as players tire at the end of a long season. The players have gone off the boil in central midfield - which makes it hard to control games, there are few options to give defenders a rest and Kane hasn’t been replaced (unsurprisingly). If 5th had been offered at the start of the season with an upturn in performances and a return to more dynamic and attacking style, only the wildest optimist would have refused that.

Spurs have lost 4 in a row and conceding goals for absolute fun.

Why should anyone accept that and be happy?

Because it’s the end of the season and a limited squad has tired.
But the bigger picture is that Spurs have improved from last season despite losing Kane

Tired? They’ve only played 38 games so far this season. They will never have a less busy season in their lives

yeh, I don’t get this they are tired

so if they are tired then we as a club are doing something very wrong

or are we suggesting some players don’t get tired? As in those playing for the top 4?

if they are tired then they are in the wrong profession, they have no right to claim tired having played less games than any other team in the league

I am convinced that we can't keep sacking managers.
    In the past 23 years we've had;

Bloke in a coat (sacked a week before a semi final)
Hoddle (sacked in September...lasted 2 and a half yrs)
    Pleat (an 8 month caretaker)
    Santini (quit after 10 games)
Jol (success. sacked after being undermined for 3 months...lasted 4 years)
Ramos (sacked in October...lasted a year)
Redknapp (success, sacked after 3 and a half years)
AVB (sacked in October...lasted 18 months)
    Sherwood (lasted 6 months...glorified caretaker)
Pochettino (sacked after 5 and half years)
JM (sacked a week before a cup final...lasted 18 months)
    Nuno (lasted 10 games)
    Conte (lasted 18 months)

The only managers that left us in a better state than when they arrived were Jol, Redknapp and pochettino. They are also the only managers to last over 18 months bar Hoddle.

We have employed ex international managers (hoddle and santini) ex players (hoddle and Sherwood) "proven winners" (JM and Conte), fashionable names (avb) all unsuitable in terms of footballing style (hoddle was a very poor man manager).

The managers that worked are managers that were good man managers, had a style of attacking play and bonded with the fans.

Arsenal have done well by sticking with their manager. Many wanted him gone 2 years ago, and some last year...yet they stuck to their plans and this season they produced some of the leagues best football.

I have no idea if Ange is the right man for the job but I do know that we can't keep sacking managers.

I can see what his football philosophy is and like it.

I also have no idea who could come in in.

If Ange goes then Levy needs to have no say in who is our new manager.

    Hope that makes sense.

sacked Jose before the cup final

In a one off game back then I would pick Jose over almost any other manager in that game

    Levy sacks him

    why?

all the Levy lovers can’t explain this sufficiently enough

    brush it under the carpet

Levy will **** our team over to save a quid

Houghton and Miller were regular starters in 1980/81 season.

Hazard became a regular the following season as did Falco.

I don't think there's any doubt that the lower leagues bring through great players...For a few seasons Dele was that for us.

Yeah that makes sense. I agree with everything you say about changing managers. The only thing we differ on (a big thing) is that I feel Ange isn’t the right man to fix the issues and I’m yet to see how his approach will yield results.

Spurs played city a few weeks before their cup final and it was abject. Levy’s made plenty of mistakes but sacking Jose wasn’t one.
