Just sorting out a BBQ for today, cleaning it down/mrs getting stuff ready/hitting shop. getting the wee man dressed and he has just a few chicken pox spots. So off to Sheffield for a blood test, make sure I’m okay, joys of my medication! should be back in time to get the meat sweats
Not sure what would be worse if you had to do bird Being in a prison in an urban area where there's no countryside to look at Or being in somewhere like Dartmoor, where you can see the beautiful moors, ponies, dramatic landscape etc. And not being able to access any of it.
Had a mate who was in Belmash (the outer low security ring) for two weeks. He said the worst thing about it was that he could see a house where he scored his weed from and couldn't get to it
My dad could hear the crowd when we beat Boro 5-0 from Wormwood Scrubs. Good times. At least that’s what he said but he does lie a lot.
Prisons don't really act as a deterrent to a lot of people. Remember from my time working in the NHS and various street projects, some people would deliberately commit crime so that they'd end up back inside as it was what they were used to. Gave them a roof over their head and a hot meal every day. The outside world was just too tough to deal with. Really sad state of affairs that. For me, the idea of having my freedom taken away would be enough to prevent me from doing anything that would end up with a custodial. Could not live like a caged bird. I'd go ****ing loco.
Me too. I think that was one main reason why the great push, to get kids in to foster homes and away from children's homes, kids were institutionalised from an early age and prison had less effect on them and a much less deterrent than children from a stable home
