Gilded Water in the 2nd at Windsor did a good representation of an equine Billy Bunter on his Wood Ditton debut. I think he's a solid EW bet today if Haggas has tightened him up.
Kempton 16,05 Galahad Quest 11/1 e/w WH three places, 10/1 others Down Royal 15,20 Magic Tricks 11/4 WH and bet365, 5/2 others 16,30 Focus Point 13/2 bet365,5/1 WH, 9/2 Lads,
Haven't the time today to wade through all the cards, so will try the (17:05) Pro/Am Flat Race at Down Royal for 4YO's only. First time out on a racecourse for all of the runners, so it is a grand old lottery! Distance is just short of 2m1f on good ground. Will go with the well-bred Walk In The Park gelding, Inoue, (Damsire: Epervier Bleu). Most of them cost a fair old whack, and Inoue is no exception, as he cost €28,000 as a 3YO. Mr O. Mcgill (7) rides for the S. R. B. Crawford yard. Danger could well be stable companion, Kilwaughter. Small saver on that, methinks. 8/1 (Bet365/Wm.Hill) top price early doors, on the ATR site. E/W best option.
3rd, looks as if he still needs to get fitter. In EW double (13-2) with Anglepoise 33-1 in next. Not too optimistic.
I think Editeur De Gite is telling connections he’s had enough of this racing malarkey. Owes nothing to anyone and deserves a happy retirement.
Had to give lumps of weight away and jumped lovely out front for 3/4 of a circuit but then the weight and his old legs caught up with him.
