The U21's really play like the first team, it's quite like watching one of our normal games, they've been pretty good (some nice one touch football)

Yeh, I pretty much picked out the same players with the addition of Hall in spells. A bit of tiredness towards the end.

It would be good if we filmed and streamed our home games.

Fair few look more than capable of making the step up. It's such a shame there's no middle ground between the 21s and the 1st team playing that style.

I think reserve leagues would be a really good welcomed addition back to the footballing world

I used to go to them back in the Boothferry Park days, always enjoyed the games.

It would be good if we were allowed to enter our reserves into the Humber Premier League so that they're playing competitive games against older players.

Scarborough, Beverley Town and Brid Town all have reserves playing in Division One, I think it's unfair we can't. I guess because we're a professional club and those others aren't, but they're still in the football pyramid.

Which academy player do you think is most likely to follow Lewis-Potter’s and Greaves’ footsteps in becoming a first-team regular?

I seem to remember a bit of hype around Alfie Taylor and Jevon Mills. Obviously, there’s players like Jacob who are already part of the first-team and Jarvis who looks the most ‘ready’ of the academy forwards.

It's hard to tell really, Acun's willingness to buy talent in means the pathway is going to be a lot more difficult than previous years when we didn't have as much money to hand.

Alfie Taylor at one point was wanted by Leicester IIRC, he does look a good prospect. I think both him and Mills will have a career in the EFL at worst, but I think the loans to Ireland have been a mistake. McAuley Snelgrove said the same to me about his time at Crusaders, that he felt isolated and the fact that they weren't training full time meant he was left alone a lot of the time and at a young age, that's not good. I really don't think this loan has helped Taylor at all, Mills has made 10 appearances for Bohemians out of a possible 18 and it doesn't sound like he's set the world alight but that's football. I think he'll leave when his contract expires.

Stan Ashbee looks like he'll be the next one to step up, he already looks as good as Greaves did at Cheltenham. Sincere Hall has also done really well and he might get an extension to stay, but he needs to be playing a higher level of football than he has been doing.

Jarvis is an interesting one. Before he went back to Shelbourne, I'd have said he didn't look good enough. I still think he'll be better off joining them permanently and growing his career than staying in our reserves. He reminds me of Billy Chadwick; he looked great, looked like he would make the step up and it just never happened, he did all his loans right, impressed the coaches, but has had to drop down to York City and start over. I think he'll make a go of it in League One or Two.

I think it shows what a poor level the Irish league is, Wood was one of Shelbourne's stand-out players last term, but never made his mark in league 2 at GY. Of course, his lack of playing time might just be because his face didn't fit, but maybe it tells a different story.

Stan and Rocco will have a good go for it. Jarvis will hopefully get back for pre season to give that a good crack too.

Looks like Aydınlık is back in Turkey. Anyone know the ins and outs of what that was all about?
