sky reporting they (PGMOL) have conceded these were mistakes. this is a positive first step. too many more of these and we’ll have evidence to approach the PL with.
This is well argued, coherent, and I agree with every word. Where is Pouchy and what have you done to him?
It's a ****ing shambles. Yesterday, I can understand the ref not giving the pen. But nobody anywhere can understand VAR not giving it. For that reason - and how many examples have we had this season? - it needs to be ****ing binned. Goal-line? Fine. Semi-automatic offsides? Absolutely. But absolutely nothing else, whatsoever.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with VA the VA system picks up everything so is working what is wrong, is the R part of the system and the interpretation of the Laws of the game. Jarret Gillet on VAR last night has had 5, yes 5 previous errors whilst operating the system this season alone This is not the system that is wrong it is a poxy Australian A league ref that comes to England to Study at University who is allowed to be fast tracked through the pyramid reffing system in this country
What makes it worse is that the VAR ref has a qualified ref alongside them as assistant too yet between two qualified refs with all the tv angles they still get clear decisions wrong.
Really well put, I'm not sure how a VAR assistant can't see Amrabat step on Gordons heel - it's crazy - and then to not even send the ref to the screen to have a look at it just smacks of incompetence.
and that is what's galling The 4th Official last night was Keith Stroud remember him ?? he and his other 3 officials didn't know that a penalty had to be retaken following an encroachment in the box
Match officials are mainly Incompetent AND some are definitely Corrupt. Gordon got it right though when he said "get better or get rid"
Not the Euros but I can think of one extreeeeeemely corrupt/dubious/incompetant/shocking decision that happened in gay Paree last November. The c*nts operating VAR are generally bent
get better or get rid of the ex refs, so we don't have the scenario of jobs for the boys once they pass their sell by date Webb, Atkinson, Moss and Dean still involved on who picks who for what game
I still maintain that the technology works. It’s the fraudsters using it that don’t. Do you honestly think it will get any better if it were gone. All that will happen is more dodgy decisions will go against us.
it held the game up for 10 minutes while they consulted one another I was told (by my contact) that the 4th official that night had knowledge of the law but was only 90% sure - the others were clueless that guy was Tony Harrington - now a premier league ref - you couldn't make it up
This has nothing to do with the decisions. All enjoyment has been sucked out regardless of correct decision. How many times have you jumped in the air for a goal screaming your head off, ref is giving it and rightly or wrongly technology has been used and it’s been disallowed? or that wait to realise it is a goal. **** all that. It’sa game between two sides of 11 people with 3 officiating on the pitch.
sorted don't forget the eyes and ears on the touchline - 4th official he also communicates with the ref
I think the conversation is a bit more nuanced than people are treating it. Technology isn't the issue in my opinion, it's the useless idiots that run it. PGMOL are not up to standard, they don't do enough to communicate to the fans and the clubs about decisions and VAR is not transparent enough. Instead of showing us an idiot playing around with a mouse looking for a pixel offside, have his microphone broadcast so he can explain what he is looking at and his decision. The fear of micing up football referees is irrational and idiotic.
when you have ex refs who were not allowed to ref you because of their bias (Jonathon Moss ex Makem ref, now head of appointments) being allowed to dictate which ref is doing your game shows there is no difference in the bias
