Been saying that for four or five years. I'd have given up on Archer before giving up on Anderson. Personally. Would have let Jimmy go as long as he wanted if he stayed at the level he's been at.
Mixed feelings on this. An absolute legend of the game and England's greatest ever bowler, but his recent form has suggested his powers are on the wain. It's always better to bow out on your own terms, rather get tapped on the shoulder, but I applaud them for giving him one last game...even more so because I'm going to the 1st day of the Lords test...
