I once shagged an owl ..........she was a bitof a manvestite -a woman that looks like a man dressed as a woman!
I've placed a £20 cover stake on Gifted Master @7/4 I'll still collect about £37 for the double if Buratino loses.
Unfortunately, at no stage have Wednesday looked like winning this. Let's hope that does the trick. Can't see it though.
Gotta disagree with you there Ron, chances were far and few between but they were there and it's not like Hull dominated and looked like winning it themselves. Great goal won it nowt you can do about that but they weren't exactly knocking on the door before then
I was cheering for Wednesady smokey, along with all Wycombe fans, but I don't see how you think they ever looked like winning (which was what I said). Anyway it was a shame as we all wanted Wednesday to win promotion to the Premier. We're hoping to get a pre-season friendly with them.
I thought they looked good on the counter especially in the second half. I'd concede that Hull were the best team in first half but I thought Wednesday looked the more likely winners in second half until the goal, which there's no excuses for, no way of defending against that
Think you were watching a different game to the rest of us smokey. Hull absolutely battered Wednesday. Wed never looked like scoring until after the 90th minute when all of a sudden they were very dangerous and had some great chances. Can't wait to the last 4 minutes of the game to start playing unless you are Man U under fergie.
Hull were the better team once we gave up the midfield battle. Hutchinson ran his socks off but once Wallace and Bannon ran out of steam Hull had the run of the midfield and are a very physical and athletic side. I thought we could nick one but a top class goal won it for them and we posed very little threat until the "death or glory" stuff at the end. But we had a great season and once again the fans did the club proud, turning one half of Wembley into a sea of blue and white. For next season we need some young legs allied to creativity in midfield - a Tom Huddlestone type of player - and a better partner for Forestieri up front. I'm convinced Carlos is the man to take us back to the Premier League
For what it's worth (nothing....) I did think Hull outplayed Wednesday most of the game, especially the first half. The Owls goalkeeper was magnificent and it was he alone that kept his team in with a chance for 3/4 of the game. It took a really spectacular goal to beat him (and he even got his fingertips on the shot!). Having said that, and at half-time, I honestly thought Wednesday would nick this match in the second half.
