3 ****ing threads started by the same moaning twat just to slag off the support we had today.

    And he never went.

You'd struggle to make it up.

A 75,000 stadium in a city our size? It would never happen so the question of these 40,000 new fans is irrelevant.
35,000 would be about right. Would probably sell out in the PL,for the big games, even if a lot were there as spectators to see the other team, but that would be dependent on the membership scheme and Hull Tigers nonsense being dropped. The 35,000 would not be too big if crowds were lower for less attractive games in the PL so it wouldn't look too bad. Of course if we got relegated it would be a different matter.
I don't think certain members of the council would be happy with a 35,000 stadium as the 12,000 rugby crowds would look somewhat ridiculous.

Some Wednesday supporters complaining like mad when they weren't allowed in at entrance B - "We went to the kc to get our tickets. Why the **** won't you let us in?" Dozey lads were wearing Wednesday shirts.
With regard to the empty seats at the start of second half - it was the same at the Wednesday end, loads of empty seats for the first five minutes. The most striking feature of the Owls' support was their response to Diame's goal, they just stopped as if someone had switched them off.
Well done to City's travelling support - it may not have come across too well on television but they certainly contributed to the tremendous atmosphere.

As I said in another thread, the singers we did have were great. Came across well on TV. Especially after Diame's beauty went in and they fell silent. Even before then you often heard City fans coming across well.

True, and there was hardly anybody in their end when their players went up to get their medals.

Ok. Actually I'm not really one for deciding on people's plasticness, it's an odd concept and if some choose to start their City support at Wembley that's fine by me (it would have been nice to have the chance!)
But there are certainly a lot of long term supporters, me included, that decided not to go yesterday.
I'm not sure it's as simple as grouping those who chose not to go into day trippers / disgruntled old fans either. For a whole range of reasons lots of people didn't have the drive to go, and that's quite telling.

I think you will find the offical figure is 25000 and I was highly proud of everyone of them. Wednesday on the other hand should hold their head in shame some of the lowlife they had following them. Throwing bottles at City fans at Stanmore and trying to cause trouble at A1 Peterborough services. I live in hope that South Yorkshire police come knocking on the services Neanderthal group after the evidence provided is supplied to them by the local plod. That lot where a disgrace to not only the club but to Yorkshire.

Have to agree, when we were being held back waiting for the tube, many Wednesday fan push through us to the front push kids and whoever was in their path out of the way. As you say low life people.

Well, you should have made the effort. How can you moan about attendance if you and many other long standing fans can't be bothered to get off their arses and support the club in their hour of need? I don't support the Allams either, not by a long shot. But realised the team needed support, plus my 6 year old might not get an opportunity to get to Wembley again.

It's funny that most of the 'fans' complaining about the lack of attendance are those that couldn't be arsed going.

    Shame on you.

It's just regular support. Plastics are maybe supporters of other PL teams that live locally and attach themselves to Wembley appearances for example despite not having a general interest in our club.

I think you're talking about 'New Support' there are thousands of kids across Hull and East Yorks that can become the next generation of City supporter. Something the club has been thoroughly hopeless at.

There's lots of kids at team I coach that wear City kits - they are the future of our club and our club needs to do more to make them want to attend games.

The basic facts are that yes, the toxic duo of Batman and Robin have invested in players and this has brought success but look at the price. Absolutely nobody in their right minds could want this family anywhere near our club. Zapping pensioners, zapping kiddies, kicking community groups out of the Airco (including the disabled), name change crap ad nauseum, zapping carers, continuous inflated prices, forced evictions, more forced evictions, re-branding by stealth, disgusting "die" comments, disgustingly still no apology for disgusting "die" comments, City fans being "irrelevant" comments, disgusting "morally what is right for me" crap, porkies ad nauseum, ticket office crap, asinine comments before big matches, pathetic membership scheme, alienation of youth, pensioners and fans, pathetically spoilt denial of spending away money on City fans, pathetic excuses for not spending away money on City fans, refusal to engage properly with fans and fans' groups, pathetic correspondence and attitude to council, etc, etc....

I was at Wembelee and I'm proud of our team. I was proud of the way City fans got behind the lads. I can not and will not criticise any City fan who didn't go because of the Allams' long list of

. I chose to go but many mates of mine did not and the fact they didn't go is down to the horribleness of the present regime. I was also bloody delighted when the sprog was widely booed when he held up the trophy and let us all hope that he and his father will now do what they (never break their word....

) said they would do so long ago and finally remove their stain of toxity from our club.

    Allam out! Sprog out!

    Cheers, Dublin Tiger

PS. On the subject of the Wendies: every Sheff W fan I met, save one twat, was 100% genuine. Fair play to their support and I hope they go up next year.

Yes, I subtracted the figure from the difference between total tickets sold by Wednesday assuming their full initial, allocation was their sales figure and the one given for total ones. If you see what I mean.
Even now the figures don't stack up. It was announced Wednesday had 45,000 there and we had 26,000.
    That doesn't stack up either.
As regards the so-called fans you mention it would be great to think they will be brought to account. Unfortunately other forces aren't as assiduous in tracking down fans as Humberside Police who will spend weeks tracking someone who let off a flare at Millwall or Everton or people basically waving their arms about at others who, separated by rows of empty seats and lines of stewards.

The fact is that for many reasons, City support was low. There was not the same buzz around this match either. But those that did not bother to go for whatever reason missed out on the chance to watch our team play at Wembley.

I am not being critical, I feel to a certain extent disenfranchised myself. But I could not extend that to a trip to Wembley.

I could understand those that struggled with Ticketmaster, I can understand that half term holidays, exams and those that had work or family commitments. For many who support both codes, watching RL and the Magic Weekend costs may well have hit numbers.

There are of course those that feel alienated from the club and I wish that this was not the situation.

But at no point would I ever feel humiliated by a lack of numbers supporting the team. There could have been ten in our end and I would feel the same.

The fact is that poor ticket sales do hurt the club and the club may be humiliated, but not the support, not going and then saying you are humiliated by the numbers is a little bit of a contradiction.

Yesterday was not the best trip, it was nothing compared to our first play off final. I doubt that we will ever repeat that. But it was a good day out, on the piss with the lads, with a game that we won at Wembley and that will do just fine for me.
