Wahab Riaz's spell at Essex has been cut short by two games after he was required to join up with Pakistan's training camp ahead of Test series against England. The news is a further blow to Essex's NatWest T20 Blast campaign, after Adam Milne's involvement in the second half of the group stage was ruled out by injury
Leicestershire have signed Farhaan Behardien as overseas cover for his fellow South African, Rilee Rossouw, in the NatWest T20 Blast. Rossouw was due to arrive in UK to play for the Foxes in NatWest T20 Blast matches in place of Umar Akmal but suffered an injury playing for South Africa recently. His place will now be taken by fellow South Africa international Behardien, who top-scored against Australia in the ODI that Rossouw hurt his shoulder in.

Surrey have made an approach for Durham all-rounder Scott Borthwick and opener Mark Stoneman The pair are both out of contract at the Riverside at the end of the 2016 season, and Surrey have issued a 28-day notice to speak with the players. Stoneman, 29, and Borthwick, 26, both topped 1,000 first-class runs in 2015 and Borthwick has been tipped for an England Test recall this summer.

Warwickshire have confirmed that former captain Varun Chopra will leave Edgbaston when his existing contract expires at the end of this season. The 29-year-old Barking-born England Lions opening batsman had already intimated to the Warwickshire hierarchy that he would like to return home to his native south-east. He has already been targeted by former county Essex, as well as Hampshire. But he has now been given permission to officially talk to other counties.
