I'm referring to the post I quoted and the ones around it. You seem to be referring to an exchange on another thread.

To try to get it back on track, I'm asking if you think posting peoples personal details, including pictures of their property and friends, and adding derogatory comments because of it is acceptable behaviour. I haven't suggested you did or didn't do that yourself.

 

I've referred to your general hypocrisy and not any specific comments, though there are some that I can think of in particular.
I'm not sure why you think that there's a divide on different threads, where your general behaviour becomes irrelevant.

You claimed that I was defending the posting of personal information. I haven't done that.
The information posted on here appears to be linked to by the user himself, for the most part.
I'm not convinced that the profile actually belongs the person that it claims to, though.

You seem to have forgotten to answer the question yet again. I guess by not crtiticising it, you're accepting of it, and therefore all these replies are defending it.

Presumably you'd be fine with pictures of your house, family and friends being posted up on here, with associated 'fun' comments. Fair enough, I suspect most wouldn't. In fact, on other not606 boards, actions have been taken from reuse of one picture someone posted., and it was accepted by all that it was not the spirit if the board, never mind anything beyond that.

The fact it's most likely not him is why it's been amusing to watch people falling for it, and why the claims of me getting angry and defensive over it are misguided and also amusing, but that doesn't alter the basic principle.

If you can't see the difference between a comment in a reply, and what a few on here do, I'd suggest you need to have a think. It's far from hypocrisy, general or otherwise. There seems to be a childish habit from some to defend 'theirs' and attack the 'others'. It wouldn't be so bad if they were any good at it.

 

If you broadcast on the internet, stuff about your private life (and tbf running a political party is hardly private) then you're fair game to be scrutinised and ridiculed over it. Running a political party, is by its very nature open to that. Don't see a problem with it whatsoever.

 

He's a cretin, mate. The part about the photos, etc, is just his latest attempt to deflect the topic away from the one where he's been taking a hammering - again! He thinks he's very clever and that nobody has noticed.

I should have thought it was plainly obvious that if you're daft enough to use your own name and details on an open forum, like this, and then spout some of the bollocks that old Pete does, you're liable to get some **** thrown at you.

Just to rip this to bits, he posts under his own name, with his grid as his avatar. He's therefore chosen to allow people to view his website, his business, which is based at his property and the other forums which he is also daft enough to use his own name on. That's his choice and because he's not posting under an anonymous name like the rest of us, he's patently made a decision that he doesn't care, for whatever reason.

It'd be different if someone had found his personal details via another source and then posted it on here. He's put it out there not us.

 

Marvelous. There's three gobshites that have given permission for anyone to post their personal details (true or not), friends, family, home, work etc on threads dedicated to abuse them contrary to the spirit of the board.

Peter Saxton was stupid enough to use his own name and photo on an open forum. Nobody, but nobody else I know of has been silly enough to do that!

By that criteria, anyone posting their personal information are fair game in your book?

Ignoring the fact I mentioned some examples earlier that were simply using a photo posted on a forum, and that was acted on by mods as it was deemed unacceptable by almost all that saw it, a fair few post personal details for a variety of reasons, including charity fund raising.
