Any ideas for a better title or is this one OK? It needs to draw viewers to ensure they become aware of all Cheltenham threads. Also to avoid multiple threads being created on the same race. Options: 1. The Cheltenham Festival Countdown 2. Cheltenham Festival Index 3. Cheltenham Festival Previews 4. Cheltenham Festival - It's All Here Thank God this isn't on the GC.
When I clicked on this I thought it was going to be a thread for general Cheltenham chat. It's a great idea tho' as it saves trawling thorough the forum to find each race. How about calling it 'The Cheltenham Festival Index of Previews'.....not sure that makes sense I hope we can have a Cheltenham chat thread, nearer the time, just for any general Cheltenham related chat. We could have a Cheltenham advent calandar....counting down how many sleeps to go...with a different picture every day. Is that going a bit far?
Thanks Epona. I have now changed the heading. It will be interesting to see the feedback on your suggestions. Re the chat thread I suspect that will all be covered in the Daily Threads. Problem with a separate one is that I think it will probably overlap too much with the Daily Threads and the race previews. See what others say though.Re the advent calendar, the original heading of this thread (Countdown to the Cheltenham Festival) might have been more appropriate to incorporate that idea. Again let's see what others think. Appreciate the comments.
Hi Ron-i think this is a good idea and saves time looking for indiviudal races,i think there is enough of them at chelts to keep us all busy over the next two months!!!Some of the posters like myself may also be attending some chelts preview nughts so they can add and tips etc for each race which makes it easier for everyone.
Ron, are you happy for me to create threads for the races that are not currently linked to - as and when entries come out over the next 2 or 3 weeks obviously.
Yes Princess. Just start off the thread and I'll add the link in. If you could just set the title like all the other races that already have links (ie the name of the race). I may tidy up the headings to the full name of the race at some stage, just for consistency. Thanks Ron

Is that the National Hunt Steeple Chase Princess? The Race titles in the Index were just copied and pasted from the Cheltenham Festival site (haven't looked to see if they have changed since posting).
I presume so, I can't see another race that fits. I've also put up a thread for the RSA Chase as I couldn't find one elsewhere.
