Brighton and Hove Albion - Watford


Both teams come to this game after not playing on wednesday with one defeat each in the last five. Brighton have one success and three draws when Watford have three wins and one draw. The locals are undefeated in five home matches and the visitors have one defeat in their last five matches away from Vicarage Road, both teams have two wins each in these series.

The teams
The Seagulls could welcome Bruno Garry Dicker andAndrea Orlandi back from injury like Watford who could have John Eustace and Nyron Nosworthy. Marco Cassetti is still suspended because the Bristol City match was not played with Ikechi Anya replacing him.

I think we are going to blast away "Mr Averages" average team away this evening. Being at home they will come at us from the kick-off and we will take them apart on the break.

Thanks ak, my brain was just beginning to think about football again as I had suddenly realised that it was Saturday.

Not an easy game for either side I think and would not be surprised if the two managers were happy to shake hands at the end with a point each.

 

Looking forward to this one as my Other was born in Brighton... (and I was born in Bushey)

 

They had a two game "rest" over the festive period--will that help them?

This is going to be a tight game, but i still think we can do it, and thinking about it, the option of Anya over Cassetti is probably a good one, if he can get in a tackle now and again, coz he'll at least be able to keep pace with Buckley. I obviously predict a 3-1 win to the Hornets

 

I too think we can win this.....

 

There is quite a good chance that we will still be in the playoffs when this game kicks off. That would transform this from a big game into a massive one.

(I hope we're not in the playoffs though, because I'd like Millwall to take something off of Cardiff)

 

As others have said this is a massive game - especially as we didn't play on Wednesday. I'd be happy with a draw but doubtless iof that does happen i'll be moaning that we should have won!

I think the Hull City team may win. They have two goals and Leeds United have not one.

 

I need another gioal in that game - it's on my "more than 2 goals in a game" accumulator along with Sunderland v Spurs!

Northern upstarts? Last time I checked we came from Southern Europe.

 

Half time scores still leave us in the play offs.

 

Hopefully we can come away with all 3 points but to be honest would quite happily take a point
