Morgan Spurlock, the American documentary film-maker who did the documentary "Supersize Me" said on Soccer AM at the weekend, according to The Sentinel, that he is a Stoke fan and that he "revealed his new-found love for the Potters, citing the FA Cup final defeat as a huge disappointment."

I heard somewhere once that Julian Clary supports us, the 80's Scandinavian band A-Ha are well known Stoke supporters. One that I heard a few months ago is another weird one is Bradley James, who plays Prince Arthur in the BBC series Merlin, despite being from Devon, supports us as well. In fact I think he did a charity game at the Brit back in May.

Anyone else got any surprising celebrity Stoke supporters?

Sybil Ruscoe, former presenter on BBC radio, is a life-long Stoke supporter. It's neither surprising, nor particularly interesting, but for some reason it's always stuck in my mind!

    Too much idle time...

    A quick Google found this:

    Famous Stoke City fans!

    Frank Bough – TV presenter
    Dominic Cork – Former cricketer
    Nick Hancock – TV presenter
    Julian Clarey – Comedian
Jeremy Bates – Former tennis player
Angela Smith - World champion squash player
Stephen Fleming – New Zealand cricket captain
    Stephen Foster – Author
    Ted Hankey – Darts player
    Adrian Lewis – Darts player
    Dave Harold – Snooker player
Andy Robinson – Rugby Union coach

Some are obvious, but there are a couple of interesting ones!

I had forgotten about Stephen Fleming. That is a weird one. Not sure how that happened. The closest to Stoke he ever got in his career was when he played for Nottinghamshire, so whether it happened then I don't know, but I'm quite sure he's been a Stoke since we were in the Championship. I didn't know about the Andy Robinson one, that's a weird one, as I've just looked him up and he's from Somerset.

Julian Clary <yikes> or should that be dykes?

Obviously likes our back to the wall defending and loves Shawcross for his tackle. In fact he loves ALL hard tackles.

    Loves Higgy's bottom.

He supported Stoke cos Slash is a stokie and plays for AC DC

Lads - if I think of anything else, I'll keep it to myself.

I remember some time ago, we were boarding a coach at the Brit for a night game with Crewe Alex a Cup match..
Central t.v. were on our coach with the camaras and I can not remember her name but, she still works for Central t.v.
Usually it was/is Bob Warman sometimes also alongside Nick Owen..

She told me she was a massive Stoke fan but didn't broadcast it to the world.... NO PUN intended. I'm serious.

And it's not Sarah Jane Mee <diva>

  10. Potts,

This was a radio presenter who worked alongside the Victoria Derbydshire on Radio 2. I am, sure I will remember. As she was based in the south we tried to get to join the Souther Supporters but she respectfully declined our offer.
