29/01/2012 by David McIntyre Defender Bradley Orr has been made available by QPR ahead of the transfer deadline. The 29-year-old was told prior to Neil Warnockâs sacking as manager that his future probably lay elsewhere. And with the signing of Nedum Onuoha having pushed him further down the pecking order, Orr will be allowed to leave Loftus Road either on a permanent basis or on loan if an offer is made. Warnockâs successor Mark Hughes placed a temporary block on players leaving the club in order to assess his squad, but has now paved the way for Orr to move on. Two Championship clubs have shown an interest in the full-back, who joined Rangers from Bristol City in the summer of 2010 in what was effectively an exchange deal involving Damion Stewart. He played over 250 times for City during six years at Ashton Gate and has made 39 league appearances for QPR, six of them coming this season. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/defender-orr-set-for-loftus-road-exit/?
That was a superb piece of business to get rid of Stewart and bring Orr in. I like Orr, and think he's played quite well in the few games he's had.
Hes not good enough and next up should be Hill. We have 2 LBs and Connolly as cover. I would say Derry too but I think he will now stay unless we get 2 CMs in.
Best right back in Championship for years. Should still be back up imo, but the fact that he is one of a few sellable objects among our fringe players I think he'll go.
I think Orr is a better player than people give him credit for. Strong and good in the air and better on the ball than some. I'll be sorry to see him go personally.
He should be playing at another team/league but he had many great games last season and a few decent performances this season. With that said, do we have RB cover? Maybe we should keep him for that reason?
will just echo a few of the earlier comments, good solid player for us, very good championship just not had the opportunitis at premier level. We certainly got the better deal with Bristol City when they took stewart...wonder if they may want him back in return for Maynard?
My mates a Bristol city fan and they worshiped him there. Not the most gifted but he gives his all. Sorry if he does go.
Bradley's a good right back and an okay defensive midfielder, but but importantly to seems to be a really decent bloke with a good attitude and a lot of humility about him. I'd be sad to see him go, but at the same time would be pleased to see him getting some regular first team football.
Bradley viewed the house next door to me in Chiswick last year and he was happy to chat. I was hoping he and his family would rent it. Really nice bloke with a sharp sense of humour and a solid defender. Obviously popular with all the team, especially the other scousers. Best of luck to him if he moves elsewhere.
Why? Onuoha and Young will be ahead of him and he will be 3rd choice like Hill. He was good in the NPC but like Hill hes not good enough for a team looking to stay up.
Orr has been very solid back up. But with Young and Ouoha now I can see that we should try and sell, trade or loan him. Not so sure about Hill, if Traore is playing left midfield as I hope and think he will, then we need Hill as back up for Taiwo, who is also only on a 6 month loan. Think Hill is better than Connolly who'd I'd prefer be left out of the 25. Hill will also be good to have next season, particuarly if we go down.
Hill is out of contract, he will go, Taiwo is with a view to buy. While Hill might be slightly better than Connolly now, hes old, slow and only going to get older and slower. Id agree if you said Orr would be good to have in the NPC but not Hill.
