Eriksen second best in the Eredivisie, gets Silver Shoe

    Christian Eriksen was back in The Netherlands last night. He was attending the Dutch football gala and was awarded the Silver Shoe. Newspaper De Telegraaf rates players every week and the highest average performance wins the award. Bony came in first place above Christian Eriksen and Filip Djuricic. Ruud Gullit was there to give him the award:

    Probably sums up the situation in the Eredivisie quite well. All three of the award winners now play elsewhere (Swansea, Spurs, Benfica), as does the other notable attendee (Chelsea).
