    Older and indeed wiser.

We are very, very, very lucky to have this man and his fellow board members as owners.

I particularly like the way he did not say we are deinitely staying up this season - just that we would give a 'bloody damn good go'.

As fans, that is all we can ask.

I'd take Lescott if the deal was right for us. He is 4 years younger than Rio and to my mind given a decent run of games would be a better player. Max Ehmer should be blooded too in the pre season games. I love Harry but just wish he would use some of our very good youngsters on occasions too.

He re mortgaged his own house and spent all his savings after buying Air Asia, including taking on it's debts of $11m, which then had 2 planes, from Malaysian Airlines in 2001.

He cleared the debt within 12 months, as of March last year Air Asia had 122 aircraft, and Forbes estimates Fernandes' wealth at $650m. He's good at this stuff, and he's a great bloke.

Ive always thought Tony Fernandes is a great man for our club and is always cool even in moments of crisis. Was lovely to my 13 year old son a couple of seasons back at the FA Cup debacle against MK Dons having a nice chat with him and a photo. I also think we have a great manager in Harry. I know many Spurs fans at work that would have him, Joe Jordan and Kevin Bond back in a flash. I know we weren't as pleasing on the eye as going up 3 seasons ago but Harry achieved in my opinion something I didn't think was achievable with inheriting a dysfunctional dressing room with 4 pts after 12 games last season, getting relegated and turning it around and getting the Rs back in the prem first time of asking. I don't think many other managers would have achieved what Harrys done at the start of the season despite our wage bill.

Just watched that - TF certainly seems to have our best interests at heart. You can't help but like the guy, very polished in an interview, even when under pressure. Hope for him and other members of board that Harry's shopping list is a lot more sensible than that of Hughes a couple of years ago - consolidation is the key for next season, then we can push on with the promise of the new stadium not far away....surely we can't f**k it up as badly as last season in Premier League?

Did anyone notice that when discussing Zamora he said at 01:20 that ''it was a great way...'' and then stopped and changed tact. I think he was about to say 'it was a great way to end his career with us.' ( Or something similar. )
