It's thread drift but hey ho. When you go to the shops do you have no care for the workers there or the food and goods on display. Is the food safe to eat? was the animal which is now meat kept and the killed according to the rules and regulations? What chemicals were spayed onto the fruit and veg? Do you really mean you don't care what goes on behind the scenes and you don't poke your nose into other peoples lives? because the last time I heard someone say that they were about 5 years old. What has the Daily Mail got to do with it?
do you know how much food supermarkets waste, cos of sell-by dates? do I care about how an animal was killed? nah not really, the outcome is still the same. so what I do, concerns you - or anyone else for that matter? The Daily Mail is the newspaper for those that dont have a life, so they have to live theirs vicariously through others.... maybe OK magazine would be a better example.
If only some people on this thread had shown as much venom and passion when our owners tried to change the club name and move us out of the city that is our home...
There is a link to Hull City in this too, so I may as well bring up the issue of 'franchises' in the US, since I have followed the San Diego Chargers since the mid 80s. Their incompetent owner demanded money from the local council for a stadium, really to be gifted a stadium that he would own. Even though the NFL has plenty of money and could actually fund a new stadium. Using a move as a threat he hoped to blackmail people into getting a stadium done for him. It wasn't and he ran off to LA with the team, next season he will be sharing a small stadium with some football team in LA. Anyway I side with the vast majority of the local support who have funded the team for over 50 years and am not supporting this new renamed side, who's slogan is now 'fighting for LA' lol. A while back on their official forum I noticed a post from a Hull City fan (as he claims), siding with the move to LA and saying to them that their owner isn't all that bad compared to the Allams, and that at least they don't get relegated. http://forums.chargers.com/showpost.php?p=4715165&postcount=61 I was about to reply but the thread got locked, it's an official forum and they are quite heavy-handed. Can't help but wonder if he would be happy with Hull City being moved to another city and being renamed. In the franchise system the owner is thought more important than the support.
