I can't find the post now but DTLW said that players on loan can't be recalled if the club doing the borrowing have paid a fee and a percentage of the wages. Well someone has just thrown this argument back in my face so I checked the rules. Goalkeepers are specifically excluded from this arrangement. Rule 6.6.3 here if you really want to check www.thefa.com/~/media/files/...docs/rules.../standardised-rules.ashx Get Boruc back!

To recall Boruc would be a massive insult to Davis. He has been number two all season and served us well over the years. Our defence let in the fewest number of shots on the keeper in the EPL. I cannot see that Boruc is better than Davis with only 8 games to go...we've just got to keep him fit.

Not to recall Boruc would be suicide Fran surely. Taking all sentiment out the equation, who would you honestly prefer between the sticks? And what if SKD gets a knock too. Back to Gazza? Please no.

SKD actually. The difference between him and Boruc in the short term is negligible...obviously age would come into it long term. Boruc didn't take being replaced calmly....do we really want to recall him (even if possible) from a team having an exciting end to the season. Pissed off goalie is something we don't need.

I'd certainly prefer SKD to be the keeper who got us across the line as we look back on our maiden CL qualification season, but when we need to win 7 out of 8 of our remaining fixtures to get in the top four in the first place, give me a top international keeper all day long.

It's all theoretical ... Boruc can't play for us again this season.

    Kelvin it is.

Boruc won't play for saints again. Koeman made sure of that

No, Boruc made sure of that. Koeman rightly chose Fraser as his number 1. Boruc didn't like it.

They both did. Boruc wanted to play. Reason he dropped down a league as Saints didn't want him but didn't want him coming up against them in prem. why not sure as could have been clause saying he didn't against them but then your keeper is different to an outfield player.

Boruc knew he had to play to be in contention for poland and now is again as he lost his place to a playing keeper who now is benched and he wouldn't have that chance warming the saints bench.

Koeman got his karma with forster injury. Question is how much it's bout to bite him on bum.

Something that always interested me was if Koeman trusted Davis as his number 2 why Davis didn't play in any of the cup games. When majority of time your number 2 does.

Only Forsters unfortunate injury has left him with no choice to field him or he'd never have actually chosen to play him

Your post is perfectly fine Laura until the bitter bit at the end. I think that's unnecessary really. Ronald made a decision and chose someone else. He could have delivered that message differently, but he was clear in his message. One could argue that because Ron was clear in his message and didn't keep Artur strung along, that he is now in contention to play for Poland. <cool>

If Boruc breaks his hand and misses out, you won't hear me saying it's karma. Keep your credibility.

First one not really true. They wanted him as back up. Boruc didn't want to play back up. Very different from Saints "not wanting" him

Second one. Classy. Not unrelatedly, I note there hasn't been anything in your posts on this thread wishing Fraser well.

I sent him a txt few days ago. Don't believe he reads forums!

I know the guy from his time at Celtic.

Never want to see any player suffer any kind of major injury

I just want to clarify that you think Koeman is suffering karma for Fraser's injury because it turned out that Artur Boruc wasn't prepared to be a back-up keeper. I just want to check your logic. Am I misunderstanding what you're saying here?

Boruc has clearly been badly treated. He's been forced to go and play at Bournemouth all year rather than getting to put his feet up on our bench. His contractual obligation to sit on our bench if required has been waived so that we can cruelly allow him to pursue his Poland ambitions.

That Koeman is truly a nasty piece of work.
