Will you stop posting these links my life is disappearing! EDIT: Far to many people commuting from East Dorset to Fareham.
Never will do, the gf watches this and Corry. I stopped her watching Eastenders at least. But the acting for this story line is great, still doesn't mean I will get into it.
I was going to say... do anything ! Jump off a cliff if necessary ! Saying that, when I lived in NZ I was so desperate for some quality TV and the only thing watchable was Red Dwarf and Coronation St. Everything else sucked like an Electrolux.
Only show I am kind of addicted to is Luther. But the BBC only make a new one every 3 years so I am fine.
I experienced a slight bit of synchronicity today: I took my poster-sized signed photo of Matt Le Tiss scoring the last goal at the Dell which my daughter gave me for Christmas, into the local picture framer's in Midsomer Norton. When I unrolled it from its tube the woman said "Oh, we've had other Southampton things in to be framed recently. This chap brought a Saints shirt signed by Gareth Bale in. He said he was the person who discovered him." I imagine it must have been Rod Ruddick, small world, eh? I also went to see "The Revenant". Absolutely awesome, although my wife hated it. Oh, well.
Same here....the trouble is that friends are waiting to talk about it. They may die of old age before I get round to it.
Funny that - the women I went to see it with also hated it, whilst I loved it. I think it's a "Man thing" - Fran, have you seen it? Likely to?
I can understand your wife not liking it. I can't say I really enjoyed it. As a piece of cinema it is absolutely superb. As something to go along to and just enjoy I've been better entertained. Watched The Lobster the other day. Very curious film. Have no preconceived ideas when approaching that one. Said to be a comedy. Well it's a very dark one then. Can't say I laughed. And I only smiled once or twice. But it held me quite spellbound for the entire time. Quite odd.
No, but I wonder if it's an age thing with me. I used to watch all sort of stuff, but now I tend to go for lightweight stuff. Waiting for Dad's Army at the moment.
BTW, the guy who wrote and directed The Revenant also wrote and directed Birdman, which carried off last years Oscar for Best Picture. Another fabulous piece of cinema, but a big effort for the viewer. Michael Keaton has never, ever been better.
