Oh, I'm sorry Black. It was only in jest anyway. Trouble with this medium occasionally is that one forgets we are chatting across the World. Where are you again..? My memory of Cocoon was that it was mildly interesting but not something I'm going to turn the TV on for.
Shhhsshhhh it's about to start It's an easy watchable film on a lazy Sunday afternoon after a big fat roast beef dinner, it will never be in my top 10 fav films but good enough for today.
In Busan, Korea. Amazing place, Asia's answer to Barcelona!! Haha Yeah so I'm quite often tipsy while writing on here. Friday was a mess though.
Don't know whether I mentioned it before, but a few weeks ago I watched a film called Kon-Tiki, purely because I had been looking at the current range of Eterna watches, and historically they supplied Thor Heyerdahl with his expedition timekeepers, and they do a replica version these days. It got me interested again, and I remembered that they made a recent film. I can only say that the film was excellent. Typically NOT Hollywood [so not for everybody], but superbly shot, paced and really well acted.
My youngest has just discovered that bad things can happen when you've had too much to drink. Coming home from a work do in a taxi with a friend, she had to stop the taxi to throw up at the roadside. When she got home she realised she'd dropped her engagement ring. Her and the bf have spent most of the weekend looking for it to no avail, and no-one has handed in to the police so far. Not good.
I've been drunk twice in my whole life (once at Uni and once in my twenties)....so awful I have never repeated it.
Don't understand why people drink alcohol with a meal. If you're getting pissed, fair enough, but there are much nicer tasting drinks.
Well, that sounds like the start of a debate to me! A glass of a decent wine to complement a meal just can't be improved upon, in my view. Mind you, I always used to like cider with fish and chips for some reason. It could be argued that the best time to drink alcohol is with a meal, as you're less likely to suffer the after effects that way.
Let me guess ... Under 25? I'm not patronising but I bet you change that view when you start to appreciate a good wine.
When I was in my twenties I never dreamed of drinking wine.....now it's pretty much all I drink now albeit too much
