Sorry to read that Clem. Toothache is a right bugger. Every pain in the head can be a right bugger, be it earache, headache, toothache.
And no doubt you have a gleaming machine standing there just aching [sorry] to be ridden. What did you get in the end.?

Download Candy Crush on your phone, then master the art of looking like you're doing work when you're in fact playing Candy Crush.

And I'm in a midlife crisis too, woop woop

Yamaha yzf r125. I know it's pretending to be a big bike, but I saw one in the colour I wanted (white with gold wheels) and I couldn't resist. It's 15bhp (faster than I'm used to) and you have to ride in a sporty position and lean into corners. I absolutley love it.

Hey, 90% of 125s, 250s, etc.. are pretending to be a bigger bike. Only the commuter models aren't.

I have a mate who got into biking in his 50s and had a Honda 125cc Shadow [<- click the link]. Now if you look it up you'll notice how big the engine looks. He thought, for all the world, that he didn't need a larger, more powerful engine. Indeed, he used to make slightly snide remarks about my bike's unnecessary power. He now has a Yamaha XVS400 [<- grey import], which is a sleeved version of the XVS650 [he likes cruisers] and now thinks that is all the power you need. I occasionally remind him that he used to say that with a 125. A bigger engine just means it doesn't have to try so hard and makes riding and surviving a bit easier.

Incidentally, I bet your YZF handles nicely. Sporty 125s usually do.

I had a trip to the dentist and the hygienist this morning. I may need some work soon. Old root filling is in a tooth that is now little more than a shell and needs work. Unfortunately that tooth is next to my last surviving baby tooth (I want to keep hold of it), which is hanging on for dear life and resting against the bad tooth. Dentist originally suggested removing them both and having implants. Er... 4k, no thanks. Now saying I could have the old root filling re-done and hope it works to then save my baby tooth, so only 500-1000 GBP! <yikes> Oh and I have a wisdom tooth that has positioned itself horizontally into the next tooth along and creating decay on that tooth... either the wisdom tooth out or the next one along out. I have a consultation with the root filling expert - 55.00 GBP

I now know how that US dentist could afford his nasty little outing.

I am sure the dentists must use their emblem as the 'dent de lion'

If Jen is at her midlife...she must plan on dying young. I'm only middle-aged and I'm 65. :)

I could be making a fool of myself here if different sections of the ground have slightly different designs but if you have a season ticket, you have a picture of me on it. Between the 1 and the 6 of 16, wearing (oh the shame) a blue and white checked shirt. Onionman Jr to the right as you look at it.

Bloke behind me last night told me.

No, because the guy behind me in the picture missed the Villa game - the only one he missed all season, poor sap. And it's just a reflection from my normal bins, not shades, I think. I think I look quite fetching.

FLT, OldDellBoy (I think?) and whoever else gave me any advice.

I did, in the end, decide to apply for the matchday media assistant role at Saints. Now, I wait...
