Went to Malaga v Granada on Saturday night. It started off slowly as we arrived at the ground at 6:45 for a 7:30 kick off. We got to the ground and nobody was being let in. The gates finally opened at 7 (you can probably see where this is going) and we went in and the stadium was virtually deserted. We looked around and thinking what the hell was going on. We asked one of the few Malaga fans what time was kick off. It was 8:30 and the penny finally dropped. I had looked up the kick off time on the BBC sport website and the times were in GMT! So we had a lot of waiting to do! The game itself was a cracker - 2-2 draw with a red card and 8 yellows. Very interesting experience going to a La Liga game.
As a point of interest in a previous life I was present for the grading (getting the look and colour right after it's been filmed) of this. Well worth a watch. Vin
I like your reasoning. However, I take issue with it as proof of a god. I'd have thought that the presence of Zeus would be proof of many gods, unless the Greeks were very much mistaken, Elysium forbid. Vin
There was a moment when just after a Malaga player had been sent off (it didn't go down well even though it was a definite second yellow) a Malaga player was flying down the wing right in front if where I was and right in front of the Malaga dugout and you just knew what was going to happen next. Sure enough he got taken out and the whistling was deafening! I just laughed.
I saw Madrid go behind at home to Getafe and they were awful first half. Out came the whistles and the two old blokes trying to kill each other was hilarious.
I can't believe that fella Laces! Calls himself a Music Man??? Kylie sings Christmas song with tubby bloke who thinks he's funny...... perhaps I missed a phone call somewhere!
The Festive lights are on but here in Spain we wait until the 5th/6th of January to open the presents on the Fiesta de Los Tres Reyes. Meanwhile the general debate is getting into full swing. Fancy having a general election 5 days before Xmas so someone is going to be looking like a turkey by the 21st.
Much as I'm not particularly a fan, Serena deserves to win. She's miles ahead of Shriekapova and is virtually unstoppable. If not her, then Novak.
Southend is being rebranded to appeal to the Dutch! Check this out. Apparently we're not Southend-on-Sea anymore!
