This is a consequence of AP buying the club, not because he has an interest in RL, but because he wanted to continue to be a thorn in the side of the Allams.

His motivation is not to see a successful RL club but a continued vendetta against AA.

I can't believe AP bought FC just to **** around with the Allams - he's a wealthy guy but nowhere near rich enough to be able to buy, and operate, a RL club just to ''be a thorn'' in someones side .............. he bought it because he thought it would make him money.

I don't think I actually know a City supporting FC fan. Most I know either support Leeds or Liverpool. I also know FC fans that support West Ham, Man Utd, Everton and Chelsea. Most of them are quite happy seeing City lose but there are a couple that would happily cheer City on.

The worst ****s are those with the Hull FC/Leeds Utd car stickers!

Spot on. I'm sure there are lots of City supporting FC fans but every FC fan I know does support a 'big' club (or Leeds in a surprisingly high number of cases)

I know one FC/HCAFC fan - my mum.

    That's it.

On the other hand, I know loads of people who are HKR/HCAFC fans though.

A poster on here went in a pub before a City game when Liverpool were the early kick off. There was a large group jumping up and down supporting Liverpool. He asked one of them why he didn't support his local club. He replied " I do. Rovers". Says it all about the mindset of some of them. I have never come across a Vity fan supporting St Helens, Wigan or Leeds because the local rugby clubs weren't doing well.
Despite being rugby fans in a supposedly rugby mad city it seems a lot of them have to have a connection with a sport a lot of them refer disparagingly to as puffball. Maybe it is so they have something to join in about in conversations at work?
Of course some come out with the line about you choosing your local rugby club but your football club chooses you. How lucky for them that none get chosen by the likes of Gillingham, Rochdale or Crewe.

I know some. But that isn't the point. It is the ones who write to the HDM, go on Humberside or theFC forums who denigrate City and their fans who are the problem. They are a disgrace to Hull and the surrounding area.

Not knocking the fitness at all. I just cannot stomach the way the game is over hyped when it is basically five tackles with the ball up your jersey then kick it forward and hope for a lucky bounce. Then repeated.

Why would I want to watch many games like that?
Personal choice of course but I see nothing in it at all. Obviously some people do, then again there are people who think Wrestling is not rigged and darts is a sport.

Although I'm not the biggest RL fan - it's much more physically demanding than football. I'm sure this isn't the case but it's always seemed less tactical than football though to me.

There is genuine FC fans that support City as well, I think the ones who p--- City fans off is the car sticker FC, man utd ect/ I am sure there are a few who would love City to go down because they hate us been the main news in the paper/radio ect, one thing I will say is when we were 2.0 up at the Wembley cup final and the two rugby clubs where at magic w/end both sets of fans sang 2.0 to the Hull City. I know it will have been only so many of the fans but well done to them and bollox to the rest. I don't hate Rovers or Hull I am more concerned about Hull City to bother about them

There was a blue Ford Fiesta parked down Meadowbank Road after the Sunderland game with two Hull City stickers and a Castleford Tigers sticker in the back window.

    Shows it goes both ways.

Or the bloke just really likes tigers.

Yeah. Sure. It really balances the loads of FC and Rovers stickers with other football clubs next to them.

    Straws grasping at.

Do you think the rugby fans who describe football as kicking a bag of wind about have seen any games or are just daft?

What Tubbylard says is basically true. They get the ball and go forward 5 times and if they haven't crossed the line by then kick it forward. At least they do in the games I've watched. Are other ones different.
One thing I can't understand. Saw mention of the need for a hooker and prop forwards. As there are no set scrums or mauls why is there a necessity for specialists in those positions?
