Extract from BFP. Note for the sour Plymouth fans highlighted (Not aimed at our Plymouth friends on here)

"Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth says his side’s profligacy in front of goal was ultimately punished during their 1-0 defeat against Luton Town.

Jason McCarthy, Michael Harriman and Matt Bloomfield all missed good chances in the first 15 minutes as the Blues dominated the opening half hour at Adams Park. However, Cameron McGeehan’s spectacular volley sealed all the points for Luton, leaving Ainsworth frustrated with a wasteful display.

He said: “I thought we were fantastic for the first 35 minutes but you have to take your chances. That has been my message to the boys after the game. “No matter if your chances come in the first minute or the last you have to take them. I thought we created plenty of scoring opportunities and scoring goals is a problem at the moment.” “We have had chances and headers that were just missing the target today. It is not a major, major thing but we do need someone to step up and take on the mantle of Wycombe goalscorer.”

If Wycombe were poor in front of goal, McGeehan was clinical as he smashed a volley beyond Ryan Allsop in the Chairboys’ goal from distance. It was a stunning strike in what had been otherwise poor display from the Hatters throughout the first half and Ainsworth was quick to highlight the quality of the goal. "It is a goal worthy of winning any game and I didn’t see it coming. It was a worldly strike that won the game and I thought we were a little bit panicked towards the end,” he explained.

The first half ended with the Blues wanting a penalty after an apparent handball from a Luton Player and they also saw a Paris Cowan-Hall goal controversially ruled out for a foul in the second period. Ainsworth though refused to complain about the decisions and instead claimed that they were the sort of calls that would even themselves out over the season. He said: “I am not going to moan about things and I am not sure if the goal that we put in the back of their net is a foul. “I am not sure if it is a penalty either, but these things even themselves out.”

Glaringly obvious we need a fox in the box or any other Leicester City player on loan we need to score when we are on top couldn't see anything wrong with the disallowed goal though but after that we didn't look like scoring also some very baffling subs when we needed to score! why was Gozzie and PCH subbed unless they picked up a knock? Hayes should have come off first for Thompson and when AAH was brought on he was a waste of space and what has happened to Kretz always good for a goal! but not in the match day squad little known fact that Max prolific scorer this season with 3 goals in 14 appearances and only 4 of those have been starts

I don't go along with this will even themselves out thing Ron. We have had a dozen top notch shouts for a penalty this season and so far have not been awarded any at all. We have however had a few against. I wonder if your Mr Ainsworth would be so magnamous if he weren't up on a charge. I will leave the answer to that one hanging. I'm now poping over to the beeb site to see how that nice Referee from last week got on at Port Vale today.

When you lose or draw as many as we do at home?, we have won four games at home since beginning of September.
