Poor first half but we are only 5 points behind. Biggar is starting to get on my nerves with his constant bitching though.
I watched the first half of the game against Munster, and that was enough. Despite having most of the possession the Osprey's didn't threaten the Munster line at all. I was not surprised to find that Munster had run riot in the second half. So, it's up the mighty Scarlet's to do Wales proud in the final.
Have to agree Vetch - never really did anything with the ball. Apart from Otten's disallowed try. That said, Munster's first 2 tries had hints of forward passes - but they deserved their win. Period! Good luck next week. With a fair rub of the green, you could do it.
Scarlet's were fantastic last night, The Ospreys were plainly not good enough it is as simple as that. But credit for getting this far......Scarlet's can win this.....
If all the squad had been fit, Parry, Arhip, Lydiate & Baker would have been in the pack. Webb, Watkins & Hassler would have played in the backs. Could have been a very different outcome......
Could have been taff, but e have to deal with injuries. I just think we play such negative tactics and to take Munster on up front, well it didn't work. Usual thing, when we do get into the 22 we fail to get anything out of it time and again. Never mind there is always next season and at least they are in as I still call it the Heinekin Cup. Not sure whether Tandys time is done and we look elsewhere, you know more, but always fail when it comes to the big games.
We didn't look like scoring a try in all honesty - strange/disappointing given how incisive and threatening we looked earlier in the season. Looking back to the start of the season, if someone had said A) qualify for Champions Cup B) get to PRO12 play-offs C) win Challenge Cup group with a perfect record Guess that most people would have taken that.
Pass, hit up, tackle, retrieve, the entirety of our attack. Slide, tackle, don't commit was the entirety of our defense. We were so predictable, the only surprise was that Munster didn't put 50 past us. Injuries are no excuse what-so-ever, that was a shameful display. C'mon the Scarlets, win it for Wales
The only thing I will say on this Taff. is with the squad we have I do think we should be achieving what you said and probably more. It just seems the same old thing big games and we fail and are so negative, I just wished we had gone into some of those games playing or trying to play as they did earlier in the season. As I say I wonder what a better coach could do with this squad.
Tandy has always been out of his depth. We haven't had a top coach since Lyn Jones left. Holley was decent, but Tandy was a huge backwards step.
So if the Swans had Fabianski, Mawson, Leon, Gylfi & Llorente all out with injuries, and we lost, we can't use injuries as an excuse? Munster's squad budget is reportedly much higher than the Ospreys', so have bought in greater depth.
