Yes Norfolkbhoy, I do wonder if Scotland's victory last Saturday was a 'flash in the pan', but the manner in which they dug in after going behind for the first time does give me just a bit more confidence for their remaining games.
I am cursed to follow Scotland through years of mediocrity so bitter experience has taught me to expect the worst and occasionally be pleasantly surprised by success. Somewhat like being a City fan!
Just heard England came from behind, late, to win. Against Wales. I'm guessing it's in this competition? Go England!!
Boys in green normal service resumed. Gutted about last week |(no disrespect to Scotland), but it's not over yet.
Oh well, Scotland's indiscipline cost them, but they must take heart from the fact that the rampaging French were only able to score one try against them!!!!
Two, absolutely no reason the French had on chalked off. Even if it doesn't count, the Scots' defence was breached twice.
Yes, I stand corrected, but the TMO decreed it wasn't a try. I still think they held out remarkably well, considering the French onslaught and the loss early on of one of their best players in Laidlaw. Had it not been for the number of penalties they gave away, they would have won was all I was saying!!!
So Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw has been ruled out for the rest of the Six Nations through injury - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/38984204 I fear that that news will be quite a blow to Scottish hopes for the rest of the competition, but who knows and others may be able to step up.
My goodness, Scotland must have bribed the TMO!!! To be fair, both the disallowed Welsh tries, were correctly disallowed.
Amazing second half after Scotland barely at the races in the first. Ireland game also pretty exciting so far
Cracking win from Ireland over the Frogs, pretty pleased with that. Very impressed by Scotland, wasn't expecting that. Wide open now as to who will finish runners-up to Ireland! Seriously though, it really could go any way now. Great series of games.
Yes, it seemed a totally different Scotland in the 2nd half yesterday and they seem to be able to score tries against any team. I was quite expecting a typical Scottish capitulation in the last 10 to 15 minutes, but this is a different Scottish team of old!!!! If only Scotland hadn't committed so many infringements in Paris .........
So Scotland's thrashing aginst the 'Auld Enemy' last Saturday cost them 2nd place, but England's exploits of last Saturday potentially played a part in their defeat yesterday when they failed t score a solitary try. At least Scotland signed off with a convincing win against Italy. Roll on next season.
