Italy apparently struggled with his direct approach. Saw some snippets and I thought he actually looked a lot more skillful than when he was with us.
The Saudi Government work hard to ingratiate themselves with the west and then go and do this? Bizarre. I don't see what they've gained by it. Surely anyone impressed by it already hates the Saudi Government for being too Western or has no political power anyway. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...otball-team-fail-line-minutes-silence-honour/
Doesn't make sense - how many Muslim players over the years have carried out a minutes silence. That was a huge slap in the face.
Just caught this here in Spain. You could, at a pinch, say there have been bombs in Kabul and Teheran recently and we haven't done a minutes silence at sporting events in Europe. But they had the Aussies in front of them, who lost two people in London. Given the ramifications of the terrorists, it would have seemed logical to show humanity, empathy and respect. If that is beyond them, it says a huge amount about their outlook, and questions why they want to play football against non muslim nations. No excuses, and an official apology would be in ordet (albeit unlikely).

Reported in News Shopper that Chris O'Loughlin has left Charlton, although it's not on the OS. Surely this a positive sign, since he is Roland's man, and may show that Roland is loosening his grip. Or maybe I'm clutching at straws.
They should retire one of the seats on the bench for him, as a symbol of his years of service. Or maybe a quick service from a kings cross prossie.
Ha. They're vaguely regurgitating the takeover thread on CL. If we lose Roland and Katie, why would anyone go again?
Page slipped on a wet surface during his time off and ruptured his hamstring again, looks set to miss start of season. This guy must have no luck.
Several years ago a work colleague's 21-year-old daughter was walking along the pavement when she was knocked down and killed by a drunk driver with no insurance. She left behind a 10-month-old baby, which my colleague and his wife had to help bring up. The driver was initially charged with careless driving. My colleague fought a long expensive battle to get justice for his daughter, and eventually the driver received a custodial sentence. It never got on the news, and he got no financial help. I just wonder about our priorities.
Stoke's lofty striker Peter Crouch has tweeted a picture feeding giraffes, with the 6ft 7in former England player adding: "Summer for me is about time with family". (Peter Crouch Twitter)
decent article below about Wolves and their owners. Has some relevance as it discusses the club buying land around the ground and how it contributed to the profits. Obvious difference is we already own the land RD potentially wants to cash in on. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ndes-wolves-influence-chinese-owners-signings
I may be in the Outer Hebrides, but have have heard that a] Ricky Holmes has asked for a transfer, and b] Roland is talking-to 3 different prospective buyers.
let's hope so. if b comes true, that will snuff out the negative if a does happen. a new owner, one that knows about football should walk this league.

FBsaying Botaka has joined st Truiden. Looks like we're heading in to the season with no squad depth again.
