I wonder if they will they be cries of Seig Heil to our dedicated football owners when we win a football match.
I don't know about anyone else but I'm going to matches in full lederhosen. Not because of the German thing it's just what I wear day to day.
As long as they don`t want the salute to go with it. It could be the new strip. Red & white lederhosen.
If its just the German consortium left, I just hope this happens asap, but when a company buys another company, its not a 2 minute job. I have been involved in buy outs in the past on a much smaller scale than this potential takeover...and it took months.....and we didn't have to go through the "fit and proper test" that any potential buyer would have to endure by the football league to get the deal pushed through..
Good point that. It`s been known for long enough that Short wanted out but the idea of someone thinking about wanting in is still comparatively recent. Anybody any idea how long the process took for Short to take over the reigns from Drumaville? Can`t honestly say I took much notice at the time.
Yes indeed, and a very stiff test that must be. True Massimo Cellino got through at Leeds despite, or perhaps because of, his criminal record. And of course at Hull City's Assem Allam firmly believed that the Club would prosper if the name was changed to Hull Tigers, tigers being lucky. Most outside of the Football Authorities, thought that this was a tad silly but he passed the test. Vincent Tan at Cardiff was just as fortunate despite believing that Cardiff, nicknamed The Bluebirds, should play in red strip's. Another of his bright ideas was to sack a successful scout and replace him with a friend of his son. This might have worked but the experiment was cut short when it was discovered that the young man had no work permit. And of course who can forget Thaksin Shinawatra at Man City. He passsed the test presumably because he had a clean record, due, in part because he stayed out of Thailand, so hadn't had to face any corruption charges. If I put my mind to it, I'm sure there are more of these 'eccentrics' who have waltzed through that test of good character. I wonder how bad, or how nuts, you have to be to fail.
Agree with that but its prospective Sunderland owners now, and due to out past mess-ups, the take over process could be easily go pear shaped. Still fancy us to beat Derby though
My take on this: 1] find those Fulwell73 dickheads and kick their ****s right off 2] get the Germans to buy Ellis out pronto 3] invade Poland 4] appoint manager 5] sell all our **** players 6] buy a load of **** replacement players for the **** players we sell Not that I'm feeling cynical and jaded or owt...
****s sake, think it through Sid. What happens after we invade Poland? Do we head East or South? And what's our exit plan?
Couldn't agree more with all what you are saying...... I didn't say it was a good or thorough test and lets face it all the examples you give underline that. All I am saying there is a time factor to it......Time is something we don't seem to have unless we start the new season with Stockdale and no new signings...Pretty sure no one wants that.
tbh mate I`m not too bothered about Stockdale `holding the fort` until Short buggers off and the new owners get sorted. He was given the task over Bracewell (yes I know) when Moyes was banished to the stands and seemed to make a decent fist of it. He was jumping up and down and the players looked as if they were taking notice. Didn`t help much I know but at least he got out of his bloody seat.
Russia. Swipe their oil, sell it and buy players. I know Hitler tried and failed but he just them useless waffen nackers. We`ve got the famous red and white army .
@FootballJourno0 A German consortium from the Deutsche Finance Strategie Holding AG have completed the takeover of @SunderlandAFC #SAFC Martin Bain has been removed from the board of directors and his direct replacement is former SAFC player Stefan Schwarz #SAFC It is my understanding the board will be made up of 5 German representatives. Schwarz will be footballing director #SAFC
