Watched Sunderland on MOTD2 and made 2 observations: 1. I really like Duncan Watmore as a player. Could have scored 2 or 3 today if Jermain Defoe was a bit more up for returning a pass 2. David Moyes is looking more and more like Frank Skinner
Very important to beat Sunderland. I think we will improve as the season progresses, but we must get victories against teams we presume will be in the bottom half. Too soon to talk of 6 pointers, but this is a six pointer.
If we win against Sunderland, we would have started each of the last three seasons (including this one) with 4 points from 3 games. Where is the progress in that?
Pretty confident of a draw against Sunderland, followed by an online meldown of epic proportions. Jermaine Defoe to score first, Saints to labour long and hard for the equaliser. If I hear boos at HT on Saturday, as I did vs Watford, I'll be tempted to do something I've never ever done at a football match; punch someone (I won't though. I'll administer a stern look).
Nah, we will dominate, score before h/t, dominate possession 2nd half, then get sucker punched. Then meltdown........
Southampton v Sunderland Referee: Lee Mason Assistants: A Holmes, D Bryan Fourth official: P Tierney We're going through all the balds!
Lee mason loves us!! He had a mare when we played stoke away last season. Confident we'll beat Sunderland they looked poor overall.
One day you'll read my obituary and it'll start: 'Vin X was battered to death last week in an altercation, started when he told a Saints fan what he thought of the fan shouting at Matt Targett "like that" '. It's written in the stars. It's a form of Tourettes. I just can't keep my mouth shut when it happens. Vin
Have to agree with both these points, not sure of his price tag - Whatmore not Skinner, but I could see him fitting in nicely
Fair play, the lad has just retired on £100K a week for the duration. Train with kids, go home, done.
Don't think it's primarily about the money for Schweinsteiger...he just wasn't going to let Mourinho disrespect him and then leave quietly.
Most of us would sit on a contract till it suited us to leave if we thought we'd been badly treated. Look at how Mourinho treated that doctor at Chelsea for no reason at all....can imagine dealing with him is fine....until it's not, then watch out. Anyway we don't want any wages at United freed up, do we?
