    Depends how confident Cook is in his bowlers...no sign they can skittle the Kiwis on this pitch. I doubt he will declare without adding some more runs as we are not chasing a must win game at the end of the series. Don't want to play catch up after the first match.

    Much will depend on the Lords weather this morning. Given reasonable looking bowling conditions, i reckon Cook will try and bat on at best pace for an hour or so and then have a go at the Kiwi's with hopefully 350ish lead. This stuff about MacCullum going mental is a possibility but it often doesnt work out that way in test cricket and chasing down 350 runs would be very unusual in two and half sessions on a 5th day pitch. But ...... lets see !

    I think England should try and get as close to a 400 run lead as they can before declaring, or get bowled out.

    New Zealand are capable of getting 300+ in a day.

    England need a couple of early wickets...don't want to toil through and finish with NZ striking out at the end like a short form of the game. Although this is a highish target for a run chase at Lord's normally, batsmen have been able to score in this match. I think a draw is still the favourite, but the Kiwis have all to play for. Time for a hero for both sides.

    I decided to avoid seeing NZ piling on the runs so went and strimmed my front verges after England were all out. Good call eh?

    I was just about to take your advice when Ben Stokes came back on. Williamson caught at gulley 4th ball. 61-4, fantastic bowling.
