Monk on Saintsweb says the rumour is that it has been leaked from the Spurs end. Predictably dirty play from them, as per.

 

This is how it starts, and eventually he'll leave. This business model (selling our best players every year) isn't sustainable.

 

I've got to the point where I think anyone that doesn't want to be here, let them go and play the kids. I honestly do not think it is the club's plan to do this Clem, but once a player decides he wants to leave, it's better that they go for team harmony.

 

As its Spurs that are seemingly the only link, he's not leaving this window because they have probably got £8M saved up for him. So, we keep an unhappy player & hope we get the best out of him. Mane leaving would give me mares!!!!!!!!!

No, that's a little silly really. You have absolutely no idea whether the business model is sustainable or not. You're jumping to a conclusion based on some announced rumour. The other day Koeman said nobody is leaving. Now that's the most concrete thing I have heard all season and yet nobody says OK, we'll ignore rumours then.

This, by the way, should be in the transfer rumours thread. I'll not put it there because the Holy God of Football broadcasting SKY has said something about it. Wouldn't want to upset people.

Before the Europa game, now before the Watford game. Whoever we've upset, they're going for maximum damage.

 

Except sometimes you have to make a stand. IF (big if) there is any truth in it, he should be told no and if gives trouble he can play for the u21s. Paying him money for nothing would be worth it if it stops the next guy kicking off.
