I hope Brum do go down, was a ridiculous decision to sack Rowett and will serve them bloody right.

For the second game in a row!!

Fortunately this time, I didn't care. The past ten days had already killed it for me, with Tranmere and Newcastle. Oh well, onto next year.

At least we can whack out the "we can see you holding hands" chant next season!

Apologies if this causes offence but it was a good chant when it first came out.

An arrestable offence now I believe.

2 local away games will be interesting though... losing 2 North East clubs too ;)

Can't wait for sky to hype up their rivalry with Palace. Never understood that one myself.

Really? Well that puts that chant to bed.

But yeah will be good to play them again. I dislike them more than Bournemouth that's for sure.

Agree that Brighton will have more edge than Bournemouth.

But then they won't be looking to manufacture one as their actual rival is in the league.

It certainly is good to have two local derbies now. Makes the season more interesting.

Spoke to my Brum mate about this on Saturday. Apparently there was a lot more to it than just "we want a big name so we're sacking you". Rowett's contract ran out end of the season and he was refusing to sign a new one, plus he was flirting with other clubs already which pissed the owners off. Still a daft decision, but not 100% black and white by all accounts.

In other news, town tonight (Brighton) is very loud and raucous as you can imagine!

Oh of course there's always more to it than what you hear. But they really shouldn't of sacked him and I personally hope it does cost their Championship status.

On your second point... I'm not suprised!!

I love this part of the season with all the permatations and seeing the pitch invasions etc. :)

Yeah definitely, we owe them one at the Amex too.

Lost 3-0 on our only visit there. Didn't Rickie get sent off too?

He did indeed. What a controversial game that was. We scored a goal (it went halfway into the goal before being cleared), but alas no goaline tech. Then just before half time Adam el Abd (what a prick that guy was, think Barton mixed with Costa) got tangled with Rickie on the floor. From what I can remember, Rickie tried to get up but El Abd basically wrapped his legs around him so he couldn't. Technically a foul. Rickie pushed him away, albeit it was in the face so can't say no red, but El Abd made the most of it rolled around like a toddler. Brighton went on from there. We got the last laugh again, with promotion, again.

Must admit, Brum didn't do themselves any favours. Don't think Rowett would want to return either: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39624187

Good to see the South Coast doing well with both Plymouth and Pompey promoted.

Sam Beckett couldn't save that basket case of a football club. Well, unless he quantum leaped in & stopped the chicken farmers on day one, that might have worked.

Is it arrestable when they sing "1-0 to the Nancy boys" and "you're too ugly to be gay" as they did down Sincil Bank?

Yes. Saints delight in his goals on twitter. A few teams seem to be interested in him.

Brighton are a right precious lot. Very quick to (rightly) complain about homophobic chanting from some opposition (we didn't) yet when Millwall or Palace play them every chant is about pikeys and when they came here they were singing non stop about "us" shagging our mums and our sisters.......

........because of course Lincolnshire people are all into keeping it in the family like the Egyptian royalty we all must be descended from.

On top of that they come out with the irony (like Burnley) of "Where you were when you were ****?" aimed at our increased attendance seemingly not realising that we remember both of them in the 4th division (or whatever version from thereon it was at the time(s) so we also remember that they seem to have increased attendances. Difference being we increased ours through a 5th tier season while they added a bit each year.

I remember going to a 1-1 draw at Burnely in the late nineties on a freezing cold Christmas day.

Brighton fans (maybe there are one or two exceptions) are a bunch of precious tossers giving it the big one and being one of the worst at offensive chants. Wait till the Palace game although of course the TV will turn the fan volume down as they always do these days.
